They are specialise for their kolo mee, who have been serving here for many years.
Unfortunately I find their kolo mee lacked with the taste that I would expected. The noodle itself also too dry for me.
It was so many years ago when I first visited this place. I’m back once again as I need grab my dinner quick for the night in the area.
Sharing this with my friend, the dry wanton topped with surprisingly lots of pork lards.
overall v bland :(( needed to add a lot of sambal to give the noodles flavour
May not look like much, but this bowl of Gold Kolo Mee ($9.90) is packed with so much flavour and ingredients. The noodles are very springy, tossed in lard, making it really fragrant. Together with some savoury chilli they have on the side, the noodles are ultimate bombz! The other ingredients are all fresh as well. Definitely a good bowl of kolo mee! 😍
The wanton is really nice as a add-on, got the 20 for $7.90 one👍
Known for their catchy ad jingle (cue 家香家香家香、面面面), this casual eatery in Marina Square serves up springy noodles served Sarawak style, with minced meat, char siew and fried wantons. Their Gold Jia Xiang Mee ($9.90) coupled with their signature chilli paste, QQ noodles and generous servings of prawns will have you dreaming about it during lunch for days on end!
