I tried

Prawn Paste Chicken Mid Wing.
Fragrant, pungent and oh-so-sinful! Freshly fried on the spot to gloriously golden brown. I sank my teeth into the crispy skin, eyes widening as each bite induced an ASMR-worthy crunch while on the inside remaining juicy tender. Deliciously umami-rich marinate with right blend that will keep me licking my fingers. The wings don’t lose their allure and it is not too oily and retained its crunch even after I left some out for awhile.

Happy new year everyone! @𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙪𝙮.𝙨𝙜 by Ban Leong Seafood has opened its first 𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙠𝙞𝙤𝙨𝙠 🏖 in plaza sing! We headed down to try out their prawn paste chicken wings 🍤🍗 which were freshly fried on the spot and served in a cute takeaway box 🥡 They were 𝙥𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙩, 𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙮 and had a really drool-inducing prawn-paste aroma. The batter of the mid-joints had the familiar prawn paste flavour that we really enjoyed, and the chicken meat was𝙟𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 🤤🤤

We didn't expect to enjoy these wings so much, and something we appreciated was that the wings weren't overtly salty like some zichar ones out there!

The prawn paste wings are going at $1.40/𝙥𝙘, and we would say you definitely wouldn't stop at 1 only (or 2, or 3…🤭) so why not get 10 or more at $1.30/pc during their special promotion! The wings also come with a yummy sauce, and gloves for any of you eating on the go.

Overall, we were really quite impressed by the prawn paste chicken wings by @harcheongguy.sg and will definitely hit them up when we have cravings 🤪🤪

@harcheongguy.sg is a newly opened takeaway joint specialising in har cheong gai (prawn paste chicken). They also have other menu items like fried chicken sliders and fried rice! I got their titular Har Cheong Gai wings and these smelt amazing the entire time I had them.

The wings were fried on the spot, making them piping hot and crispy. The chicken meat was really juicy and the skin was very well seasoned. Some really great har cheong gai that I would most certainly get again.
