Fried Chicken
I also tried their Popcorn Chicken which was unfortunately a bit of a let down. They were coated in plum powder, which made them pleasantly sweet and savoury, but the chicken chunks were overcooked and dry. The chicken also didnāt taste very well marinated as they were kinda bland and tasteless, unlike the Devil Chicken cutlets. Would skip this, stick to the main attraction!
šDevil Chicken (@devilchickensg)
š Multiple Outlets
š° $8.50
Fried chicken will be the death of my arteries. I swear I could eat this for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday until I die of hypertension. The first time I had Devil Chicken was when I was at a Taiwan night market. Obviously, the prices in the Singapore branches are wildly inflated, but let me throw my money at them anyway šµ
Their signature Devil Chicken costs $8.50 a la carte, and you can choose the kind of seasoning you want. The surface of the chicken is crispy and crunchy while the chicken meat is really juicy and thiccc. The meat is also sweeter than most other chickens. The spicy powder gives it a bit of a kick.
š Har Cheong Gai Chicken Wings
šHar Cheong Guy (@harcheongguy.sg)
š Plaza Singapura
š° $13 for 10 wings, $7 for 5 wings
@harcheongguy.sg is a newly opened takeaway joint specialising in har cheong gai (prawn paste chicken). They also have other menu items like fried chicken sliders and fried rice! I got their titular Har Cheong Gai wings and these smelt amazing the entire time I had them.
The wings were fried on the spot, making them piping hot and crispy. The chicken meat was really juicy and the skin was very well seasoned. Some really great har cheong gai that I would most certainly get again.
š Korean Crispy Fried Chicken with Signature Yangnyeom Sauce
šYou Are My Sunshine (@youaremysunshine.cafe)
š Ngee Ann City
š° $28
As far as korean fried chicken goes, You Are My Sunshine's version is pretty solid. The yangnyeom sauce is sweet and the skin of the chicken is crispy. Its also decently priced, with nice portions. One of the better dishes there i feel!

š Chicken
Salted egg + chicken is just a classic that you can't go wrong with! The chicken is crispy on the outside, the meat is a bit tough but it's still good!
š Pumpkin
For a moment I wasn't sure if I was given the correct thing because it looked like fish HAHAHA anyways the pumpkin is about 50% actual pumpkin and 50% flour so it was a bit hard for me to tell which was which. It was still really good and definitely delicious, albeit super oily with a lot of fried batter.
š Lotus Root
Well I've never really had lotus root before so I'm not sure what compelled me to try this, but it's pretty good too! I liked the lotus root pieces that were thinner as they were crispier and taste more like chips. The thicker slices had that tougher bite and lotus root taste.
š Salted Egg Sauce
The sauce is pretty watery, would like it more if it were a bit thicker! It's more on the sweeter side but there is still a nice salted egg taste to it. I would prefer if it were more on the savoury side. Still not bad!
