We love this place. Hearty teochew dishes that were delicious and tastes so sincere, especially the snapper and tofu in superior soy, their yam ring goes extra large and crisp, my all time favourite kung ba Pao (the meat is jelly soft), and even their beancurd with crab wowed with the homely beancurd taste.

The medium red grouper fish is fresh and clean-tasting, with natural sweet savoury flavour, and fish meat that is moist and flakes off easily in large boneless chunks.

The superior soy sauce gravy lends beautiful salty savoury herbal flavour, while the crisp minced chye poh / preserved radish lends a burst of vegetal salty savoury notes.

Completed with fresh crisp spring onions, this fish dish was easy to carve and eat, so yummy.

This is beautifully presented, and carved at your table.

The walls of yam / taro are crisp outside, soft inside, nicely moist with lovely earthy sweet savoury salty flavour.
.
Within the basket is an assortment of seasonal ingredients, during our visit, we had crunchy baby corn, firm cashew nuts, tender boneless chicken chunks, juicy bell peppers / capsicum, tender shiitake mushrooms, crisp water chestnuts, and fresh coriander.
.
The combined assortment, coated in a rich chicken gravy, has robust meaty vegetal sweet savoury salty earthy nutty flavours.

This features succulent juicy tender fried deshelled prawns, generously coated in a crisp crunchy salted egg yolk sauce batter.

The fresh crunchy broccoli florets have good vegetal sweet flavour, while the tender soft shiitake mushrooms hold bold vegetal earthy sweet flavour.

The rich but balanced oyster sauce lends a savoury salty earthy flavour, just enough to pique the palate, but not overly seasoned, just right.

This was an off-menu dish that staff kindly put together on our request.

This is a unique house signature dish.
.
Here, crispy roasted chicken skin is used to wrap succulent bouncy moist squid paste.
.
Bite in, and you get the initial hit of the smoky salty savoury chicken skin, then the mellow savoury sweet squid paste within.
.
As for the chicken meat, most of it has been removed from the dish, though the odd piece still remains. Works as a nice appetizer.

This has large, soft silky tofu beancurd pieces, surrounded by tender soft luffa melon, garnished with flaky chunks of deshelled crab meat and crab roe, served in a thick generous beancurd gravy.

You get the big bold taste of the gravy and its savoury salty notes, but the natural vegetal sweet flavours of the luffa melon, and sweet savoury flavours of the crab meat and crab roe, still shines through.

The tofu beancurd holds grainy sweet savoury salty flavour, having picked up the gravy. Best paired with white rice.

Succulent tender fatty pork belly that is good enough just by eating it individually.

Love the crispy fried soy beans on the fish. The paste had the right amount of saltiness.

Red garoupa w minced garlic and peanut bits. Now we all know that garoupa is usually steamed w sweet and sour sauce and this is the first time that I come across such a way it is being handled. The incorporation of garlic and peanut bits adds on to the crunchiness and the fragrance which makes you want a more helpings. This is truly unique and yummy, must try! P/s: a slice of it was taken before I could take a picture thus the missing bit.

God knows my love for braised abalones, this is no exception. Chewy yet not rubbery hard. Having it w sea cucumber is a luxury, plus the fact that its tender fresh.

Classic fav for the majority: Pork belly braised in thick soy caramel. It was braised so well, meat was so soft and tender. The skin area is not charred too (signs of a badly done kong ba bao to me). The way to enjoy this is to sandwich it between a bun. This will get you craving for more after one serving.

Almost every wedding dinner or course meals at Chinese restaurants this is a staple in the list of dishes. I love it and having tasted quite a number of it from different places, I think this is pretty yummy. Main point is the scallops and prawns are/have to be fresh and asparagus are thick, crunchy yet soft enough to be easily chewed. The asparagus is done well thus it did not have the strong raw 'vege' taste.

Best fried ice cream I've had so far. It doesn't have any revolting oil smell which some had due to the oil being reused too many times. The outer layer is crispy and warm, when the ice cream oozes out its just pure delightful. Vanilla ice cream used is also of quality which enhances the eating experience even more.

One of my all time fav dish which also known as 功夫菜. Which mean you need to be skillful enough to prepare this dish.

Salmon rice bowl from Gim Tim-The miso was on the slightly sweeter side, and paired really well with the salmon.

We had a table of sumptuous food.. Claypot Beancurd with Seafood, Roasted Chicken, Prawn Roll, Fried Rice, Salted Egg Prawn, Kai Lan, Stir-fried Vension and Or Nee(芋泥)! Food was delicious and savoury!
