The Signature Yi Bua and Japanese Sweet Potato Yi Bua from All Things Hainanese at Bras Basah Complex offer an addictive chewy texture that's hard to resist.
Generously filled with a delightful mix of grated coconut, ginger, crushed peanuts, and sesame seeds, these steamed snacks are perfect for grabbing on the go.

Very yummy overall except a little salty if u don’t mind.
You’ve read about the $3 fried rice in my previous posts, now let me introduce you to the Hor Fun from the same stall, which I found even tastier than their fried rice. The ingredients include fishcake, chicken, egg, and vegetables. The hor fun is first fried with soy sauce and dark sauce to achieve its distinct brown colour and infuse a bit of wok hei. It is then coated in a savoury, starchy, gooey, and eggy sauce that adds extra deliciousness and moistness to the noodles. The waiting time for them to cook this dish may be longer, but it is absolutely worth it. The portion is suitable for small eaters, although I believe even small eaters would need at least two plates because it is just that delicious.😋

So Lemak’s prawn paste chicken(Har Cheong Gai) is exceptional. It was crispy, fragrant & juicy.
The sambal is equally impressive: a well-crafted balance of subtly spicy, fragrant chili that avoids excessive oiliness.
Also liked how they seperate the ikan bilis & peanuts, so u have an almost equivalent amount of each. unlike some other nasi lemak stores where I find myself eating peanuts with a few strands of ikan bilis.
Food - We got the Spicy Lobster Triple Chirashi ($24.80) and the Spicy Dashi Chirashi. Portion-wise, was more than decent for those with smaller appetites. Taste-wise, it was nice but slowly became very cloying mid-way through, plus the seafood wasn't the best in terms of quality and freshness.
Service - While the food was served quickly, it was hard to get the staffs' attention. It took me close to 2min just to signal someone to come over to refill the soy sauce.
Ambience - Space was pretty small and very echoey. You can pretty much expect an uncomfortable din throughout your meal.
Also, remember to make a reservation before heading down! I made mine while walking over from the MRT, and pretty much just strolled in. Those in the queue I think had to wait for about 30min+, so save yourself the trouble.
Came by for post-dinner drinks but couldn't resist trying something off their extensive menu. We got the Pollo pizza ($28) and the Lasagna ($27) to share. The pizza had generous chicken chunks over a delicious tomato sauce base, with the onions and green chilli lending a nice crunch and zing to every bite. However, the lasagna was a clear standout - the excellent tomato sauce was further amplified here, mixed with the meatiness of the beef ragout. We polished this off in no time, and would have licked off the sauce if we could! Happy hour was also great, with our Menabrea tower only costing $59, and if you have Burpple this would be a very value for money dinner and drinks hangout.
Even if this was a cafe and I got the meal for takeaway, I really cannot smooth over the sheer disappointment I had while struggling through the Signature Classic Barn Burger ($19.50+). My main gripe was that the bottom of the burger was completely soaked in grease! The base bread was all limp and soggy, and I couldn't get a bite in without the lettuce and patty all slipping out. - everything was just falling apart! And this was only about 5min after I collected the package and walked across the street to Timbre+ to have my meal. Simply terrible experience.
