Popcorn Chicken Rice ($10.20)
I preferred their diffferent toast flavour especially ham and cheese bread over their rice mains tbh. Even though their popcorn chicken was slightly salty and dry aftertaste but I felt like that their rice mains was quite average (normal).
The popular toast shop from Taiwan has since opened a few outlets here in Singapore.
Was looking for lunch in NEX and decided to try their braised pork rice. I would say it is a very common taste of braised pork rice, but not too good in term of the taste comparing to those authentic one.
Ham & Cheese ($6.20)
it's just so good vibes tbh with cheddar cheese + ham. the cheese just melted off with ham. especially made only for SG flavour.
Pork, Egg & Cheese Set ($6.60) w Signature Milk Tea ($3.30)
Bread was toasted well, got that crispy texture but its quite hard and dry. It's quite cheesy paired with egg and pork patty. I find that it's like not bad for fillings so it's hearty and quite full aftertaste. The patty is quite hard tbh 👌compared to pork patty set.
I really like milk tea flavour and got that special taste for this but not like the normal tea (enhanced flavour).
Fong Sheng Hao is known for their Charcoal Grilled Toast and Milk Tea but did you know they have other authentic Taiwanese night market dishes like Popcorn Chicken and Braised Pork Rice.
The Braised Pork Rice ($7.90) is an even mixture of fatty and lean meat, but it is slightly on the dry side. It might be better if they provide more sauce
Looks good, tasted good.
But not filling, gets kinda untidy and messy when eating it, everything will just sag down and the meat and egg will start sliding out of your grip.
