In all, it's pretty alright for my first mookata try. I used the fave vouchers on a weekend dinner, with free flow drinks, this it's about $50 for 2 of us! (there's some student discount of $7.90 worth checking out though)
I love some of their food: the mushrooms! (good button and shiitake mushrooms), the succulent fish (surprising!), the squid, and they all go so well with this Chili sauce they have, the sauce just reminds me of my thailand night market food hunt. The meats seem to taste like that one flavour of spice after eating for awhile.
They seem quite understaffed. Also queues will be long if you come during dinner time. Since their phone hotline doesn't work for reservations, perhaps use chope! If you will like an air-con version of mookata, this is nubbad.

very value for money dinner set bought via fave (groupon) for a weekday dinner. 2 plates were served - one for meat and veg. for the price it was pretty worth it, though i wish there was more meat. it was also quite difficult to cook as the meat from the grill kept sliding down into the soup haha.
Shown here is portion for 2. Not too filling actl. Food was decent but service would be better if they give you some hints about the various ingredients instead of letting you discover urself e.g. I grilled the luncheon meat and it stuck immediately lol
Also the yellow marinade tasted weird and there's some sour smell that day, not sure if it was from the marinade but it wasnt very pleasant
Theres free refill of soup so that's really nice and it seems like the pot doesn't need changing within 1 seating
Enjoyed our meal here, where you can order alacarte meat, seafood, mushrooms, veg, eggs (including quail eggs!) and even dishes like French fries and rice/noodles. Disappointed by the selection of meats, which came with a slightly odd seasoning and a dubious cutting method (pork liver was good tho). However, we were pleasantly surprised by how fresh and thick-cut the fish fillet were (we ordered it 4 times), so maybe stick to the seafood instead.
TIPS: wet tissues are 40cents each while the fish crackers they give when you are seated cost $2!! Also the meal can take quite long because the gas stove runs very hot at first but gradually dies down, so come for a slow-paced meal.
Ordered a mookata set ($39.95 usual price before gst, 50% promotion from 11-5pm). Serving was good for 2-3pax, and the service provided was good.
Other than the pork which is slightly tougher, the rest of the ingredients are rather fresh.
Feels mass and the stock is not great.
Also service is terrible.
