Trust the Japanese when grilling chicken. This was so good. Pity so little. Tender, juicy, smoky. I would take unseasoned over sauces any day. And come for the free-flow salad bar!

The signature main here. The cod was very good, the flavour was easy to like and the skin was crispy. It comes with a meaningless piece of cheese haha. And come for the free-flow salad bar!

I knew I wanted to try this Keisuke brand but I didn't know there's free-flow salad and dessert. Given it's Japanese it's really enticing. There's a bunch of interesting dressings and salads of both Western and Japanese, such as katsu cabbage and edamame. There's also pasta and soba at random. I couldn't stop.

saw this on tiktok and queued 40min to try it 🀑 and i was pleasantly surprised by this recommendation! how it works is that you order a set, which consists of your meat of choice and a bowl of rice in a hotpot (?) thing, and this comes with a free flow salad bar. best part was that it was suuuper affordable. we got the dried atka mackeral set (~SGD19.90++) and miso marinated black cod set (~SGD25.90++) - both fish were extremely flavourful. the dried mackeral was huge and though it contained a lot of small bones, the fleshy meat and it’s tenderness made up for it. the miso black cod on the other hand was sooo tender and silky and so nicely charred i instantly fell in love 😍 both fishes were amazing and i would get again. now, the salad bar was πŸ’― too (although a bit salty)!!! my favourite dishes was some black fungus salad as well as the coffee jelly……just heavenly. not the cheapest place but for the quality i would definitely queue and pay again πŸ’Έ

I forgot how filling a meal at Keisuke Grill can get πŸ˜‚ Between the two mackerels, the dried atka mackerel is a lot more bony, but also way more flavourful. The set comes with rice, an onsen egg and miso soup, on top of the complimentary free flow salad bar.

Sides that I always go back for more at the salad bar are their hijiki salad with edamame and the potato salad. I probably can leave full just by having these 2 things!
