No bread from Cedele I dislike and this one just adds some festivity cheers to the reliable repertoire.
Pro Tip: The softer bread you can find at Cedele are their brioches/ buns.
Realised I’ve not had Cedele cakes in awhile when I was taken aback by the $9.30 price tag of a slice of carrot walnut cake. “Inflation is real” I thought.
But lucky me I get to snag the 25% National Day discount on cakes to commemorate Cedele’s 25th anniversary.
Of course it is only befitting to get the National Day special - Gula Melaka Sago cake and I can always trust Cedele’s cakes inflation or not. The fleshy young coconut meat within the coconut whipped cream center is amazing, not forgetting the soft Gula Melaka cake promised to be baked with unrefined Gula Melaka and olive oil. Thank you Cedele for delivering always 🥹
This is the way received my Mother’s Day cake yesterday. My kids order from the states.
The total cost is $31 for the three pieces.
Never mind on the look but the quality has totally going bad. Carrot cake used to be our favorite but this order totally disappointed. Not only it is totally lack of sweetness the nuts is stale. Can Cedele please analyst your recipe?
Cedele has always been a reliable option for my staples of breads & baked goods.
I remember my junior college days towards A levels, camping at the Greenwich outlet and having a healthy lunch while cramming all the studying content I could. Then treating myself, again if I could, to sweets.
Today when I get the chance to have afternoon tea of their reliable cakes, it always delights.
The green local flavor seems like something they’ve developed for National Day but was still on display in the month of Sept. Thats great cause I got a generous amount of crunch from the desiccated coconut shreds and absolutely soft Pandan sponges and cream.
The cheesecake at Cedele is smooth and melts in your mouth especially if left seating for a period of time.
Looking back… it’s been 10years since I’ve been introduced to Cedele, hoping the baked goodness never stops ✨
Taking inspiration from the Peranakan culture and in collaboration with Singapore Food Festival 2020, Cedele created this limited edition treat
