At this Johnson Eatery coffee shop, you would find this stall called the ę½®ē²„; which offers Teochew style of of fish porridge or noodle.

I see lot of people ordering their pumpkin fish version, which the soup was so tasty and sweet. Pairing well with the sliced fish and porridge.

I feel very bad. I brought my companion to try western food stall Bao Jiak, discovered it's gone, tried its replacement, and ended up with one of the worst fish & chips we've met. The fillet is the sort you grill, but they tried frying it. It has no batter. The fries also instantly tasted frozen. The appropriate price for this dish should be zero.

Very generous in portions and super slurp worthy dry ban mian / å¹²ęžé¢ šŸ˜‹ā£ The hawker also carefully dapao-ed all the soups in plastic packets before packing into the plastic container to prevent spillage during delivery šŸ„°

Until then Iā€™m gonna spam all the hawker food I can find near my house and bfā€™s before the next billing cycle LOLā£

Side note 2: Recently canā€™t find all my fave hawker stores that I used to order from like Sumo Fried Hokkien Mee, Oyster Omelette & Carrot Cake (AMK) and Kok Kee wanton mee stalls (most neighbourhoods I think) on Grab anymore?? Idk if itā€™s cos of this new change šŸ„ŗšŸ„ŗ but I miss my fave stalls and they are not not exactly near my house sobs

Will you pay S$3.00 for a decent bowl of Ban Mian? I will! And this was exactly what happened when I came by to get some soupy dinner from a stall I frequently patronise from Uber Eats.

The signboard of this stall says ā€œFish Soupā€, but it was listed as ā€œKIN Handmade Noodles, Fish Soup & Pigā€™s Organ Soupā€ under Uber Eats. And despite selling their Ban Mian at below average market price, the owner did not compromise the flavours of the broth, nor the completeness of the essential ingredients, including minced meat, vegetables, anchovies and an egg. It was indeed substantial as my dinner, and a hidden gem amidst a trending cafe and a mookata stall in the same vicinity.

The handmade noodles were a little hard today, but it did not bother me so much because I like my noodles al dente.
