While you could customise your own bowl, but if you are someone like me who want both unagi and salmon; go for the Unagi vs Salmon that come with both.

I must say it has prefer lots of ingredients such as the salad, soba, cherry tomatoes, fish roe and soft boiled egg in it. Making it a great and healthy bowl of combination with their unagi and salmon. $15.90

Really enjoyed this! Pretty good price of 9.90$ per bowl, added tamago for this bowl.

Lunch ideas 💡

Give @unagivssalmon a chance and discover tasty chicken Yakitori and fresh poke cubes.

My order was an overkill today (either by indecisiveness or just pure gluttony) - basic bowl ($9.90) contains a choice of base, a protein with soup/tea. I added on an extra protein ($5.90) and 2 sides (90c each).

Definitely left very satisfied 😌

One of the two affordable Japanese seafood bowls in the area, Unagi vs Salmon is the closer one to the MRT. I'm not a fan of unagi in general so I got myself the salmon poké. The salmon supply is fresh daily, they say, and yes it taste quite fresh and not fishy. The sauce is not very strong, therefore the taste of the salmon came through. Interestingly, for takeaways they offer two free toppings, I had the seaweed edamame and onsen egg (with a bit of roe on top). The onsen egg is not excessively eggy and yet still quite flowy, I like! The seaweed compliments the dish very well. I also like that they use red rice instead of normal sushi rice, it feels healthier that way. Also the normal salmon poké comes with lettuce!

Value Set ($9.90) consisted of 1 base - mixed red rice (mixed with rice vinegar and black sesame) and 1 main (Unagi Mentaiko). I felt mixed red rice was quite delicious especially mixed with rice vinegar and black sesame and a bit sticky amd dry aftertaste. But I like unagi metaiko because most of shop at here didn't selling mentaiko sauce with unagi and want to try it for a long time after seeing online recommendation. It's best to add-on miso soup ($1) if you find the rice to be dry 😅

Customers are allowed to mix and match their combos. Choices include red rice , soba and pasta. As for the mains, the highlights include the unagi with mentaiko and salmon sashimi/ mentaiko.

For $9.90, it’s actually quite pricey. Some places would include an onsen egg as part of the meal. But this counts as an additional topping at 90 cents.

Overall, food quality was reasonable but it’s slightly pricey.
