Instantly transported to the carefree days of sipping on a leisurely cuppa on the shores of ๐พ๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐ช๐ก๐ก๐ ๐๐ฆ๐บ , @surreyhillsgrocer.sg has definitely brought laidback Australian vibes to our sunny shores! ๐ฅฐ๐ธ๐ฌ
I had both the ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅ and ๐๐๐๐๐๐ช($7.50 each) brewed with @onacoffee Seasonal ๐โ๐๐ค๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ช โ๐๐๐๐ช ๐น๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ ( El Salvador CMN/ Ethiopia Natural/ Ethiopia Washed) and loved every sip of this goodness! ๐๐ปโโ๏ธโค๏ธ
๐๐ก๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐โ๐ฅ - Showcasing a smooth blend of perfectly steamed milk which accentuated the notes of ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฝ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐๐จ๐ & ๐พ๐๐ค๐๐ค๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ซ, this was easily one of the best cups of ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ I've had in SG. ๐๐ปโค๏ธโค๏ธ
๐๐๐๐๐๐ช - Packs a punch, not surprising given that the Milk:Coffee ratio is a lot lower than a regular ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ or ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐. The notes of ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฝ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐๐จ๐were less obvious in the ๐๐๐๐๐ compared to the ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐, but if you like your coffee strong, this is a perfect cuppa for the road! ๐ช๐ปโโ
Unfortunately the ๐๐ก๐ฉ๐๐ข๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ ๐ฅฉ๐ฅช($30.00) was just.... ๐ถ๐๐๐... ๐คญ๐ The slab of ๐ผ๐ฃ๐๐ช๐จ ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ was seared well with a pink centre , but wasn't seasoned enough and was pretty much tasteless. ๐ฅน Could have been more generous with the salt? ๐ค๐ง
Surprisingly, the star of this dish turned out to be the ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐จ ๐๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ ๐ถ๏ธ! Combined with a drizzle of ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐ ๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ค on crispy ๐๐ค๐ช๐ง๐๐ค๐ช๐๐ ๐, the medley of textures was a real delight. (If you look past the kinda soggy side which the ๐๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ was sitting on). Prob not worth the price tag for ๐๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ and bread though, so won't be ordering this dish again, but defo will be back for coffee runs!!! ๐โโ๏ธโโค๏ธโค๏ธ

This western joint is located in super ulu part of Singapore, near the Benoi industrial sector, inside DโArena Club.
On a Sunday evening at 6.30pm, we managed to get a table immediately. The place is pet friendly but seriously some pet owners need to get a handle on their excitable pets for the sake of other patrons.
We ordered their Salmon ($28) and Crab Spaghetti ($29). The salmon came plated on a bed of barley. It was pan fried just nice, with a hint of pink at the center. The barley tasted like it was boiled in mushroom broth.
The crab spaghetti was a tad sweet and not spicy enough for me. The crab meat was more a mixture of meat in chilli crab sauce. The noodles were al dente enough but overall the dish was lacking in terms of flavours. Just sweet.
Nice to get a different experience in Jurong area but a little bit expensive.
The Singapore Chilli Crab Spaghetti is limited. It uses housemade Rempah, fresh crab meat lump, farm mizuna greens and is topped with salmon roe. The spaghetti texture was not too tough and not too soft, I should say. For some who do not take spicy, this dish is a tad on the spicy side.

Served on a bed of mushroom barley grains with marinated roes. Flavours are light and easy to eat. Texture is good for kids too~
