Kicking myself for taking such a long hiatus from 𝙖𝙗𝙨𝙚𝙞𝙡 🌿, yet applauding the decision to finally return to this hidden little cafe for their awesome brews.

Looking to quell my major obsession over 𝑽𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒆 ☕ since my last visit to Korea, this @abseil.coffee rendition of an 𝙀𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧 is a rare execution of simplistic beauty not easily found in Singapore.

Featuring a double shot of espresso ☕☕with a hint of fruitiness, I could barely help myself from luxuriating in the warm hug of velvety thick cream 🥛 melding with smooth espresso.

Loved that I had a quiet corner to myself to savour this moment, for it was truly a memorable sensation for my pampered taste buds.🥰🍃

Originating from Harajuku, Japan, Café Aux Bacchanales opened their first international outlet here on the sunny shores of Singapore, and I must confessed that I've walked past it several times while shopping in Plaza Singapura. 🫣😝
.
As a French-Japanese Cafe & Bistro, my first thought was... Another Hoshino Coffee-ish café? 🧐
.
TBH, I wasn't quite blown away by the food here, and for their higher price points, I was expecting the level of quality to be much higher than say... Hot Tomato 😅🍅.
.
𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗼☕🍮 ($6.50) - An Autumn Special, this was an okay-ish cuppa but didn't pack much of a punch. Super easy to drink though.
.
𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 🥩🍷($25.80) - We had to send this back the first round, because it was so well done that it was completely tough and rubbery. The manager mentioned that it's "normal" for the sides to be well done and wanted us to confirm if the middle was the same. At this point, I was a bit like... HUH. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thankfully, the 2nd piece (albeit smaller) was much juicier, and the saving grace of this dish was definitely the crispy Steak Frites and Red Wine Sauce.
.
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 ($35.80) 🦆🥔 - Probably the best dish we tried, the inside of the Duck Confit was soft and juicy, although I wished that the skin could have been more crispy and slightly less salty on certain portions.
.
𝗖𝗿ê𝗽𝗲 𝗮𝘂 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼 🍫 ($12.80) - Filled with dense cream which was pretty much tasteless, everything was overpowered by the strong flavours of Banana 🍌, even the chocolate sauce provided did nothing to balance out the flavours. Highly approve of the Chocolate Gelato served on the side though, it was smooth and chocolatey and was the highlight of this dessert.
.
Overall, I'd say this is a nice quiet place 🌿 to chill out and have a cuppa coffee ☕ or glass of wine 🍷 in the middle of Plaza Singapura, with its spacious interior in the heart of Orchard Road. Special shout-out to the friendly staff who are really good with babies!😁💫

Trying out @syip.sg 𝙄𝙠𝙪𝙧𝙖 𝙆𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙪 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞 🦐🍝, and although it wasn't particularly exciting for me since I've tried a few similar cold pasta dishes, this warm version was pretty delicious IMO.

𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊 🍝 topped with crunchy 𝑺𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒓𝒂 𝑬𝒃𝒊, 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒐 𝑲𝒐𝒎𝒃𝒖 🌊, and 𝑰𝒌𝒖𝒓𝒂 ♥️, tossed in a garlicky olive oil, this is pretty much the glow up version of 𝘼𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙤 𝙊𝙡𝙞𝙤. 😋

While I didn't find the flavours mindblowingly orgasmic, the subtle 𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒎𝒊 🌊 flavours did elevate this dish substantially. Not sure if it's worth $16 though... 🤔💸

I know this may seem like a 𝒇𝒂𝒖𝒙 𝒑𝒂𝒔, but I actually enjoyed this dish more with the extra 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒌𝒐 sauce that I "borrowed" from the hub's meal, so....... 😂😂

Great coffee at @canopygardendining as always! Just the right amount of body and comforting flavours delivered with that essential caffeine kick, surrounded by calming greenery~ 🍃

𝙏𝙂𝙄𝙁!!! And TGFN (Thank God for @nyloncoffee 😆🍃☕☕)

Finally made it here again after a few failed attempts (Covid, renovation works etc...) and I'm truly thankful for the chance to savour a simple cuppa coffee that goes straight to the heart. ♥️♥️

Definitely one of my go-to coffee places whenever I'm in the Duxton area~~

@simple.cafesg is moving to a new location soon, so please visit them while you still can! 😘♥️♥️

Conceptualised by Head Chef Takuya Yamashita of One-Michelin starred Whitegrass and executed by one of my go-to tea places Hvala 🍵, I was extremely stoked to check out the 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝-𝙅𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙚 🇫🇷🇯🇵 inspired menu at the newly opened @boyutei on Ann Siang Hill.

𝙀𝙗𝙞 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤 🦐🍞 - Sandos are all the rage these days, and it's no surprise that Boyutei has jumped onto the Sando bandwagon. This deceptively simple looking dish was much better than we'd expected, with every bite of the thick prawn cutlet filled with juicy chunks of 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙣, nicely contrasting with fresh (raw) 𝙘𝙖𝙗𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙚 drizzled with 𝙨𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞 𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙚.

𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚 🍵🇯🇵 - THE main reason why I visited in the first place! 🤭💚💚 As a huge fan of Japanese crepes, how could I miss this chewy rendition of a freshly 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙚 accentuated with earthy 𝙂𝙤𝙢𝙖 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙨 and 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙄𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 from Hvala? 😍🍵The portion is pretty huge, and good to share for 2 pax!

𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙥 🌽 - Sadly, this soup tasted mainly of milk, and we were kinda disappointed that it wasn't bursting with the flavours of corn, nor the satisfying mouthfeel of a good cream soup. It wasn't bad, but wasn't exactly good either.

While the food we tried was mostly delicious, I'm not quite sure if we'd return again since the items weren't exactly mind-blowing for the price tag paid... Nevertheless, definitely recommend swinging by for a try of their signature items at least once! 😋♥️♥️♥️

Was a little heartbroken that I had to takeaway my fave @kingscartcoffeesg 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙡 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 and drink it on the go, but was pleasantly surprised that the barista still put in the effort for a pretty latte art to brighten up my day! Much appreciated!!!😘☕❤️❤️

Super bonus points for the adorable latte art from the very adorable barista at @6lettercoffee who totally made my day!😘❤️❤️

With every creamy mouthful of this cuppa 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚🌿 with a hint of grassy bitterness, I could feel my stress melting away~~ 🧘🏻🍃🍃

Hailing from Omotesando, Tokyo, Japan, @flippers.jp is well known for their fluffy soufflé pancakes 🥞❤️, but I was pleasantly surprised that they serve a pretty good cuppa coffee too!

Despite it being several months into the Tiger Year 🐯🎋, I certainly didn't mind this mega kawaii cutie served up on my cuppa Mocha at @flippers.singapore ! 🥰☕❤️❤️

Thank you for brightening up my day, pretty latte art is always a mood booster, don't you guys agree? 🥰☀️

Brought to you by the folks at @cafecocosg (which has since closed at GTBB 🥲), @folksatrise is a cosy little café nestled in the Potong Pasir neighbourhood, located a few doors down from @kizunasg 🤗❤️❤️

While we had originally made our way down to 𝑲𝒊𝒛𝒖𝒏𝒂 for their lunch bowls on a regular weekday, we were met with waves of disappointment after we were informed that everything we had in mind was no longer on the menu/sold out etc after placing our orders at the counter. 🥲

On the bright side ☀️, this brought us to the pretty little café @folksatrise which had also been on my wishlist for the longest time! 😍 Being a small neighbourhood café with less than 10 tables, be prepared to wait for seats even on weekdays even though a time limit is stated on the menu.

Spoilt for choice with all the gorgeous tea cakes 🧁🌼 and very tempting 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 reminiscent of Korean cafés, I decided to indulge in their freshly made 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 ($7.90) and topped it up with a scoop of 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙠 & 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙂𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤 🥛🍯 and 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙑𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙂𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤. YASSSSS waffles for lunch, just because I can! 😝🧇❤️🧇

The 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨 were absolutely amazing, light and airy with a crispy outer layer just as I love my waffles to be. 😋❤️ Honestly, the maple syrup isn't even required cos they taste so good on their own! 🧇❤️❤️ The gelato, however, was just okayyyyy IMO... I'll probably save those calories for their cakes or 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩 instead! 🤭
