Located in Grand Hyatt, the quality of this buffet does not disappoint. Every station served incredible tasting items, and the desserts were on point. The range of food available was really good for a hi-tea session. I thought the timing given was too short though. But it can be addressed by being early for the dining session. Highly recommend!
Visited Straits Kitchen for their lunch buffet and had a great mix of regional dishes. Got a dish from every counter including otak-otak (slightly spicy), seafood carrot cake, garlic naan, tandoori chicken, battered barramundi. Of course we couldn't resist getting a whole box of kueh-kueh too 😋 including goreng pisang, kueh lapis sagu and ondeh-ondeh.
🌟 of the show: Definitely the tandoori mushroom!! It was sooo delicious and we actually preferred it to the chicken because the juice from the mushroom helped to bring out the flavour even more. (Special mention to the goreng pisang too)
Lobang: hahaha not sponsored but we got this at $12 because we used the treatsure app. It operates with many hotel buffet partners to tackle food waste. So 45 mins before the buffet ends, you can walk in and purchase a takeaway box for $12 (~$9-12 depending on which hotel you go), and the chef will guide you with recommendations as you pick what you like. Generally, you can't take food from the live stations/ fresh seafood but most other things can!!! Can just search "treatsure" to find out more on their website. Don't say I never say HAHAHA
You can have your teh Halia, mocha and peppermint tea ☕️ all at once .
And all were so well made - robust coffee and strong ginger juice in the Halia .
