Visually, this was stunning. The bright green of the fresh vegetables and pea risotto contrasted with the reds and browns of the snapper and saffron bisque.

Compared to the lobster pasta in my previous post, the smoked red snapper didn’t have such a distinct flavor but it was unanimously the dish of the night with its myriad of textures. You got the crispiness and flakiness of the snapper, the creaminess of the risotto, the slight bite of the broccolini and the crunch from the artichoke chips. Combine this with their individual flavors that each component had to offer and you get a winner of a dish.

One of the dishes that I enjoyed was the Lobster Fregola Sarda Pasta. The fregola ($28) was gently simmered in an intense lobster bisque, before being mixed with a generous amount of crab meat. A similar texture to gnocchi, the dish was topped with an onsen egg and parmesan shavings to amp the umami factor making it a serious struggle not to lick the bowl.

However, do note you have to pay a dollar for tap water 😒
I quite like my cream pumpkin risotto - though I thought it wasn't al dente much, it was clever to have the black vinegarish sauce added in to help give the cream pumpkin a nice lift. Place felt like a ghost town though... what's up with OC? 😳
If the colour pink had a flavour and more so in its various shades, I would imagine it would taste something like this plated dessert.
A long overdue post featuring Steamroom With The Pillar And Stones’s Inspired by Red ($14), the sweet, tangy and pleasantly tart creation is the perfect treat to end your meal. Strawberry Meringue, Raspberry Sorbet, Strawberry Mousse sprinkled in with crunchy Freeze-dried Bits, chunks of Raspberries, Strawberries and Raspberry Sauce. The refreshing dessert which I got to enjoy during their soft launch, showcased a much put-together item with the different hues to represent the textural adventure. As you get the play of crunchiness from the dried bits and fruits, creaminess from the sorbet and mousse with the melty bite of the light strawberry meringues. The delectable combination also sees the layered tartness as well as sourness of the fruity medley.
A combination of restaurant + designer clothes/items + art jamming + terrariums making. This shop takes up almost the entire level 3 of orchard central. Love their music list which was not too loud and definitely conducive for doing work or have a cosy catch up with friends
Iced mocha (using house blend) was to my liking. The bitterness from chocolate and coffee was right. Friends who ordered hot chocolate, flat white and latte had an additional cup of sparkling water and a mini cute dessert (pink wafer with strawberry cream within).
served with browned butter potato puree, heirloom carrots and green asparagus
