Absolutely disappointed! Sucks!! Being charged $25 SGD for such a small portion of stingray is simply outrageous. It offers no value for money, and the taste was utterly mediocre. I won't be returning ever again and will definitely advise my friends and family to avoid visiting!!
Medium @$30 !!!!!!
Price increased, machiam restaurant price already.
But why I still eat? Their sambal stingray still damn good la, no choice. Their sambal also damn spicy, flavourful & Shiok.
Still will come back, but not so often liao.
So there's 18/23 or sth and 20/25
The 20/25 are the thicker cuts, which I obviously would go for.
The sambal was fiery, it's got good heat and good sweetness, medium spiciness though.
Stingray was well grilled, it's crispy at the bottom, but the meat itself wasn't good, so it requires a lot of chewing.
I'd say just go for the sambal sotong? if u want to try the sambal, hopefully that's better
With all food reviews, one has to decide, quality or value first. This review was tricky in that sense. Although the fish was ordinary, it was slightly larger than usual, while the sambal was fantastic. However, this smallest size was $18.
One of those stores that has a perennial queue at Alexandra Village! They serve a whole array of seafood, but my favourite is the sambal stingray. It packs a real punch and there’s a lot of meat! The prawn paste chicken was also surprisingly good. Rounded it off with a simple vegetable dish and my group of 4 paid $40!
This sambal stingray really taste good.
The sambal was overflowing and the stingray was fresh too.
But its damn expensive here, I am so used to having my sambal stingray at $10-$12.
