Standards have become inconsistent, but when good it is a trove of wholesomeness.

Whilst the creamy robust soup ($7) is the star, what makes it so good is the accompanying scrumptuous seafood, plus some plump and flavourful meat cubes. It is also imperative to pair it with their kway teow ($0.50), which is fragrantly mixed with shallots and a nice savoury sauce.
One look at the soup and you know that it's gonna be rich in flavour. At $7, this seafood soup comes with a small but fresh crayfish, smooth fish slices and a handful of tender pork chunks. Would be better if the soup is hotter though.
This is good for one as a meal, or two persons as a supplementary dish.
Rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️ by @foodkingnoc which makes them FOODKING GOOD, this is a hawker stall you definitely won’t want to miss. A mere 5 minutes walk from Khatib MRT Station, @shunfengcrayfish offers a range of heartwarming seafood bowls with an interesting concept - you can add a shot of liquor into your soup.

Fresh seafood, tasty broth, yummy horfan! What more can I ask?
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rainy days these few days really calls for something soupy. Using brazilian lobster for a super rich soup. The Soup has a stronger seafood taste with a slight sweet note. Somehow reminding me of salted egg. 😂 Price diff is half or whole lobster.
Hennesy ~ $3.0
Martell ~ $2.0
~
Rice ~ $0.5
Homemade Crystal Hor Fun ~ $0.5
| Homemade Sauce | Fried Shallot | (You'll definitely order two bowl at least)😋😋

I personally like the fish slices as it is served fresh with the consistency and the texture of the fish is cooked to the almost perfection. And also the super yummy meatball with kanghekia inside

Do you like soup with strong seafood taste and a few slices of fragrant abalone to make you feel more luxurious?
.
.
At $7 a bowl, you get a bowl of tasty soup, big pacific king prawns, several slices of abalone, handmade meatballs, tofu and other vege! I will choose the tasty slippery hor fun over rice anytime 🤤🤤
while the crayfish variety is their signature dish, I personally liked the red grouper bowl - prawns, meat ball (cube??), and slices of red grouper in thick, seafood-sweet broth. you also have the option to add hennesy ($3) or martell ($2) into your broth for extra flavour!

thank you @shunfengcrayfish and @singaporefoodlisting for the arrangement!
Extremely enjoyable experience at @ShunFengCrayfish trying some of the freshest seafood soups I haven’t had in awhile. Honestly, I was prepared for a passing hawker grade, not restaurant-quality; they delivered better than expected ❤️
.
The signature Crystal Crayfish Delight ($7/$12) is a heartwarming crowd-pleaser, crayfish was perfectly cooked and comes off easily from the shell, not fishy nor powdery at all and gives a firm succulent bite. The Abalone Slices Delight ($7) is the stall’s sweetest and popular to those who prefer lighter flavours.
.
🙆🏻♀️Personal preferences were the Mackerel Slices Delight ($7) & Red Grouper Slices Delight ($8). While the former scored amazing/10 with its thick umami savoury broth, I like the latter with addition of XO to oomph the entire dish to another level of brilliance. Both the mackerel & red grouper were sliced to an optimal width and tasted extremely fresh & tender.
.
I’m also a fan of their homemade meatballs, beaten over 50 times daily & moulded into a square form to maintain consistency. On top of the Australian air-flown Berkshire Pork used, I also love the bouncy bite feel that comes with the chunky bits of mushroom. Don’t forget to try them with their house-made chilli sauce, a must-try addictive dip! Go for their Crystal Hor Fun ($0.50) with special homemade sauce and deep-fried shallots, definitely a steal as it’s same price as their plain rice.
.
Options here include crayfish, pacific king prawn, abalone, Spanish mackerel, red grouper and Brazilian spiny lobster (subjected to availability). You can also add on ingredients, or even Hennesy and Martell (✨swipe to see more) to customise the soup to your liking!

The founders here started this place due to their love for seafood, and pride themselves in fresh ingredients sourced from worldwide coupled with meticulous brewing of their soup broth for 4-6hours daily. Appreciate that they put themselves in consumers’ shoes to ensure that we get a lot of bang for our buck without being shortchanged in terms of quality.

The soup has an immense funk and thus it's the only seafood soup I haven't finished so far. Really not my cup of tea and I suggest only people who enjoy some funkiness to challenge this. Theres also alcohol in the soup which I could never get used to.
The lobster was bouncy but otherwise nothing too noteworthy in the bowl.
0.5 for the kway teow which was not bad but the sambal is rather different, being more sour than sweet
Brewed for hours before serving according to food blogs. Juicy & fresh crayfish with homemade meatballs like no other, with tender dory fish to boot. Finished every drop of the soup.
I ordered the Crystal Crayfish Delight which cost $6. You can order the $10 if you have more than 1 people sharing. Queued for so long for this and it is so worth it~ the soup is however not as rich as the sumo big prawn. They sliced the crayfish into halves for you and it can be easily removed from the shells. There are also marinated handmade meatballs inside, tomatoes, fish slices and tofu. You have a choice to add either rice or crystal Hor fun. I suggest you choose the latter coz it is so yummy. I also read that the Mackerel Slices Delight ($7) had a much sweeter taste. Maybe that is what i will try next. Swipe ➡️ for more pictures!
Managed to get there before the queue! They ran out of crayfish so we ordered the $6 prawn, $7 mackeral and $8 red groupa with 2 bowls of rice and 1 kway teow. The soup was robust and flavourful, with good quality ingredients and even tofu and handmade meatballs (apparently it's a mixture of flounder and pork meat) with mushrooms. Do note the prawn bowl also contains fish as well. Each bowl contains two large prawns as well. The kway teow ('crystal kwayteow') was really delicious as well, tossed lightly in a sauce and topped with crispy shallots.
Despite the varying reviews on Shun Feng Crayfish Delight, the soup base was pretty satisfying to have especially on a rainy night like today. And weaving itself nicely into each spoonful, you really do get the umami flavours of the crustaceans used in the seafood broth. Creamy and pleasantly sweet, the one featured is the Red Grouper Slices Delight ($8) which has tomatoes, prawns, tofu, marinated meatballs (YES!) and a generous portion of tender sliced grouper - fresh and with none of that fishiness.
Chock full of flavour (but not those overly rich kind), the bowls are cooked a la minute and you can see the guys in the stall tasting and adjusting as the warm soup simmers. Thus, overall I feel that they do take caution in ensuring the consistency. However, that also means that more time is needed; so bearing in mind the perpetually snaking queue, the offerings are not mind-blowingly scrumptious yet surprisingly comforting.
All reasonably priced, please do order the Crystal Horfun as an add-on if you are there! Lavishly garnished with fried shallots and dosed in a delectable savory-sweet sauce, the kway teow just requires a good toss.Yum!
*Though truly a decent find, it may not be worth more than a 30-minutes wait imho
Queued up 40 mins for this...but it sure did not disappoint. Had the crystal crayfish delight $6. The soup was so flavorful and had all the seafood goodness in it. Dory fish, meatballs and tofu were added to the soup as well. The kway teow noodles that came with the soup was tossed in sweet, savory sauce. Perfect combination!
As the owners, Daniel & Willy, cook every bowl of soup individually, expect to wait about 45 to 60 minutes to order!
The sweetness of the broth differs with the ingredients! We had the Crystal Crayfish Delight ($6/$10), Mackerel Slices Delight ($7) & the Red Grouper Slices Delight ($7). Of the 3, the most flavorful bowl was the Mackerel Slices as the broth has the sweetness from the prawns & Mackerel without any fishy taste.
The Crayfish broth was slightly lighter as compared to the mackerel, but at $10, you do get 2 whole juicy crayfishes sliced in half.
The winner is actually what comes together with the soup, the crystal kwayteow that's tossed in this sweet, yet savoury sauce topped with deep fried shallots.

There's a different sweetness whether you get the mackerel or the crayfish. It is hard to say which is better, but of course get the crayfish for more value for money. Avoid mealtimes as you might have to wait up to an hour!
.
🍴
The hor fun might look simple but was super tasty, like a silkier smoother version of Ipoh horfun. Slurp this down together with your soup for the best experience!
.
🍴
On the other hand, one of the highlights for me was actually their meatballs. Tasty pork with umami-ness from mushrooms. 😋 An unexpected but awesome addition to a fish soup!

Crayfish may be a hit & miss for some with the varying degree of freshness questionable at times. 🦐
.
I'd eat here again if the queue wasn't that insanely sneaky Long... especially in this unbearable heat nowadays. Worth the money, but not the time & effort to queue which will possibly result in pissing one or two off along the way. 🖖🏻
