If you're in the mood for a satisfying Japanese buffet experience, Shin Minori is undoubtedly one of the better options around. The buffet offers an impressive variety of choices, including sashimi, aburi sushi, nori taco, sushi taco, inari, nigiri, maki, and temaki, ensuring that no one leaves disappointed.
The sashimi is a standoutâfresh, succulent, and served in generous portions. Sushi lovers will also be delighted by the range of creative sushi, handrolls, and maki. Each piece is well-prepared and visually appealing, with unique combinations that elevate the dining experience.
With so many dishes to choose from, the extensive menu can feel overwhelmingâin the best way possible. It's nearly impossible to try everything in one visit, which just gives you an excuse to come back for more.
Overall, Shin Minori offers a wonderful balance of quality and variety, making it a go-to spot for Japanese food enthusiasts. Whether you're a sashimi purist or a sushi adventurer, this buffet has something for everyone.
Tried the hotpot they have, with the spicy miso and white nabe soup. I found the soup base quite tasty. The ingredients come in really small portions so try to order more ingredients at one time.
Do try their mochi for dessert too.
But overall for the price per pax, very value for money and would come back again!
First time at this outlet after the outlet at Katong closed down.
My favourite sushi is the aburi sushi! Also they have good sushi rolls.
Place was packed so be prepared to wait for your food, some of the food we ordered actually didnât make it.
But overall for the price per pax, very value for money and would come back again!
Back for the third time this year at Shin Minori, and weâre still yet to conquer their extensive menu!đźâđš Since my friend is so obsessed with this place, I suggested he sign up for a membership. At the rate weâre going, he could collect points and earn some treats in the future.
Noticed theyâve increased the pricing by $3, but theyâve also added more items to their already gigantic menu. đ±
We always get their assorted aburi sushi and fancy nigiri because they're delicious. This time, the sashimi was a hitâtender and chilled to the right temperature. We had standard appetizers, though the onsen egg wasnât as good as before. The small temaki options are great for those with a smaller appetite or just wanting a little bite. The grilled skewers and dishes were standard and a bit oily, but their shrimp items are exceptional. The grilled butter mushrooms were unexpectedly tasty with a fragrant butter flavour that usually doesnât come through. Sushi tacos seem to be trending now. Avoid the carb-heavy dishesâtheyâre not worth it. However, definitely get the dobin mushi, a savoury teapot soup that warms you up and provides a pleasant experience.
Desserts are the usual fruits, mochi, and ice cream. The buffet also includes free-flow drinks.

iâve been here q a few times before and the price had increased since the last time but i think the service and food quality also improved so ok la. salmon sashimi was great, v thick and juicy. i would say the most worth items on their menu is their makis â the hanabi maki and dragonfly maki were my favourite. their beef in yakiniku sauce was also one of my fav dishes. i like that their menu is quite extensive and you can order a small portion each time which lets you try a lot of different things. as for their desserts, i rly liked their mochi! the mochi skin was vv soft. my favourite was the coconut mochi, and their coconut ice cream was also good. their buffet also includes free flow hot and cold green tea
overall i had a p good time! my experience this time was more enjoyable than previous times so iâm glad theyâve improved, although it has become quite a lot pricier
It's surprising to find ourselves back at Shin Minori to explore more options from their extensive menu that we missed during our previous visit.
While the sashimi still didn't quite impress, it's great to hear that the sushi was better this time. The improvement in rice texture and bolder flavours adds to the overall dining experience especially those purple rice sushi. Trying their nabe must have been a delightful choice, especially for a cold day. The fatty meat in a savoury, milky chicken and fish bone soup stock sound comforting and hearty.
It's a nice touch that they offer free-flow ice cream, adding a sweet ending to the meal.
