At just $3.50, each bowl is made to order and the coolest part is that you get to see them pull pieces of noodles from a giant dough - something that you hardly see in Singapore anymore.
Insider tip: Add $1.50 for a poached egg and liver in your Mee Hoon Kueh, and order some of their traditional Char Siew Paus while waiting! You won’t regret it 😉
Okay, it is special coz there is onions in the big pau ($1.80) which makes it sweeter maybe? Plus the meat used is more lean. (Bought from the branch outlet at tampines one basement) #burpple #burpplesg #namkeepau
handmade pieces of chewy dough w fragrant stewed mushrooms, tender minced pork balls and an egg cracked into the flavourful broth w a topping of veg and crispy fried anchovies...... this warm, hearty and comforting bowl is so satisfying, esp on a cold and rainy day ☺️👅 at only $4 (bc +$0.50 for the egg) it doesn’t get much better than this
😍😍 It's so satisfying when my mee hoon kueh has a slightly bouncy and chewy texture. After all it's supposed to be kueh, not just square flat noodles. Nam Kee also adds mushrooms to the soup so the soup smells especially fragrant and unique. 😋😋 Would be back sooner if it wasn't all the way hidden in Turf City. 😓😓
😋 Nam Kee sells good Pau as well as Mee Hoon Kueh & Crispy Egg Noodles. The handmade dough is so smooth and chewy. Overall the bowl of Mee Hoon Kueh is flavourful and gives a comforting homey feel. That explains the long queues during lunch time.
$4 ( with egg) I love this little bowl of mee hoon quay.
