This was obviously less boomz than ribs. Unsure about the wisdom of smoking salmon, which turned out dry, and dry salmon sucks.

This place does not mess around. That slab was gigantic - you can barely see my cauliflowers - and although it's not superb, at $10.90 it's daylight robbery. You gotta appreciate they smoke their meats with wood, although the restaurant can get a little smoky.

Managed to eat a lot more with their Meat Feast ($50.9++) platter. Serving is generous and comes with 4 sides of choice (rly rly decent sides). Loved the sirloin, sausage and ribs (not on the pic). Chicken and pork collar are tid bit dry. Pork chop is a bit fatty 😅 will still come back though!

Heartland fresh roasts for $29.90++
Preferred the pork collars & chicken.
Water is chargeable.

At Meat Market, situated just outside Hougang 1, you can find a variety of meat-centric dishes as well as seafood alternatives, but what stands out to me oj their menu would be the Black Nigiri ($10.90 for 5, $18.90 for 10).

Taking the appearance of sushi (sort of), there are options of beef and pork collar slices placed on top of black buttered rice. The charcoal coloured rice was a little mushy, which was not to my liking though it was flavourful, while the pork tasted a little odd. The beef fared better but was short of anything fantastic.

It is questionable as to whether I would return to Meat Market for a meat fix, but if I ever do, I'll probably go for something else; their sandwiches sound really good. I mean, Butter Chicken Ciabatta?! Take my money, maybe? 😍

The best item on Meat Market’s menu is undoubtedly their BBQ ribs ($10.90++). It’s one of the better pork ribs I’ve had due to the savory spice rubs and the juiciness of the ribs.

The meat was terrifically tender and separated clean and easy from the bone. The slightly sweet and sticky BBQ sauce added even more flavor to the already tasty ribs, and the meat goes down real easy thanks to how juicy it was.

These redolent ribs are racking up some serious cash for Meat Market, that’s for sure.
