Pardon me for sounding like a lunatic, but my heart was beating in accordance to the way these fluffy, airy and texturally divine soufflé pancakes jiggled away. And it was pounding very, very hard indeed. Every bite felt like a stroll in the clouds, and despite my full capacity from dinner earlier on, I was actually attending to the idea of getting another plate all for myself after whittling this down (sadly, I underestimated myself and shared this).

I cannot stress how much this is a MUST-GET here, and it’s really a shame (!!!) if you make a trip all the way to habitat without returning with these babies nestled in your digestive tract.

Located at The Heeren, this alfresco joint is the perfect date night spot in town. Dive straight for the Burpple Beyond deal that gets you 1-for-1 Entrecote Steak ($34.90) — lean yet tender sirloin slices smothered in a tangy, creamy chicken liver sauce. Make sure to mop up all that scrumptious sauce with the side of free-flow shoestring fries.

Price: $$ (quite worth it for steak!!)

Steak: Requested for medium rare, but was served slightly towards medium. Portion was relatively small, however, when put together with the fries, portion is well balanced. Meat was juicy, slightly on the chewy side! But, the star of the dish is the sauce used!! REALLY MIXES WELL WITH THE STEAK AND FRIES!

Fries: Very well salted and seasoned; was given a large portion of fries as seen above, but as a fries lover, I really enjoyed it!

Turns out the tomyum noodles is only open till 4pm, so tried the zi char food instead. This mince meat salted fish mee tai mak really hit the spot, the soup was really light yet flavourful! 😋

☺️ When I have the chance (when the queue isn't of epic proportions), I come here for my char siew rice fix. The char siew is marinated well and still tender and juicy when served; the siew yok is roasted well and always with a sturdy crunch at first bite. The sauce is flavourful and not too sweet and the rice if often cooked to perfection (not clumpy or too moist...just nice). Oh i love the soup! Rich flavourful. Nothing to complain!

A bit pricey at $5 as it is only the soup ingredients and fish, but the soup is very good with lots of spices for a rich tom yam. Noodles, beehoon, bitter gourd, chicken or fish eggs cost more.

Egg is always a good idea
