$10. Just the right crispness, meat fresh and easy to eat with tasty sauce accompanying each portion. Good!
Everything on this plate, from the brioche bread, honey bacon to scrambled eggs was excellent! $15, was worth the one hour wait for a table.
My favourite Thai Wan Than Mee, large at $5. Heavenly Taiwanese sausage slices.
$9, 4 & 3. The burger was great, juicy inside with crispy bits outside, complimented well by Thai chili salad. Mayo just seemed quite normal though, cheese was very slight. The cake was better than expected, raspberries brought out the taste of chocolate chips well, good texture .
$3. A bit too salty as the broth was still being made, but quite similar to SXI curry mee. Quite a generous portion, with good chicken texture. No irritating hums. From stall 1-17, aptly named Laksa Chicken Noodle.
$2 to $5. More like oyster omelette than the conventional carrot cake, this is slightly crispy on one side with chilli being infused in the egg.
$2 to $5. This guy had been selling since 1965, as long as Singapore's independence! Quite good really, like the you tiao and the generous peanuts. And the packing is not the nondescript ones you see from other hawkers.
$3, $4 or $5. Forgot to take a pic so this waving kitty is the only one. From Chun Heng Noodle House open since 1962, the dry version was excellent with 7 pieces of pork ribs swimming in dark herbal soup. Can choose from a variety of noodles, served lightly tossed in oil garnished with spring onions and fragrant fried shallots. Very worth it for just $3.
$2.50 or $3. Lots of vinegar, the way I like it. Portion is quite substantial for the price, and the lor is fragrant with the mix of raw garlic, fried wantons and spring onions. From Liang Heng Food Stall 1-21, they also sell Mee Rebus, Prawn Noodles and Laksa.
A bit pricey at $5 as it is only the soup ingredients and fish, but the soup is very good with lots of spices for a rich tom yam. Noodles, beehoon, bitter gourd, chicken or fish eggs cost more.
$2.50, added five fried wanton for $1. Vastly improved with fried wanton that was soft and crispy. Char siew sweet enough but not the crispy kind. Great springy noodles, could be better tasting with more black sauce. From a stall in the centre of a row, not the corner one.
