This tender and juicy chicken was part of the Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 Dinner Set deal here, and lemme tell ya — we felt like we were robbing a bank! Total bill was just $18 for each person, inclusive of one main, one side and a drink each. How worth it is that?!
Do check out this chic eatery if you’re planning for dinner around the area. Great food, chill vibes and groovy 80s playlist — sold!
Yum and refreshing açai bowls with generous portions! The medium bowl can easily fill two people up nicely. Got these alongside a matcha latte and hojicha latte. Total damage was just $15 for two açai bowls and two lattes! Super sick 1-for-1 Burpple Beyond deal.
If sweet-savoury desserts are your thing, you’ll love this! Think creamy mango soft serve coupled with salty, shredded cheese with a little bite. Yum!
Creamy, rich and sweet mango soft serve coupled with super fresh mango cubes that went well with the crumbly, slightly salty graham crackers. Only thing I did not like was the drizzle of sweet cream all over, which made it a little cloying. Other than that, if you love mango, this is a must-try!
Unassuming corridor joint that serves up quick and tasty rice takes away bowls! We had the Double Cooked Marinated Beef Slices, Stewed Beef Brisket with Tomato and Stir-Fried Cabbage.
All components were delicious! Beef slices and brisket were tender, stir-fried cabbage was flavourful and wok-fried with fragrant Sichuan pepper. Would come back and get this again if I were around the area. What’s more, we used Burpple Beyond’s 1-for-1 deal for these two bowls, which was super worth it!
A symphony of textures — crusty, buttery almond tart base, caramelised, slightly gelatinous top, and a creamy, molten centre. Quite enjoyable, sans the slightly too funky blue cheese mix that was a little pungent for me, but that’s just a personal preference.
Yummmmmy! Think lusciously thick, smooth and creamy soft serve encased in a not-too-sweet hardened liquid matcha outer shell that does not disintegrate easily. Portion is quite generous as well. Would totally be back for this if I’m around plaza sing!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Made of coconut ice cream, sweet and gooey pulut hitam, fragrant kaya bread pudding (genius!) and served with a single shot of espresso to balance everything out. Felt that the overall balance in flavours was good. Would order again.
As a sucker for all things pancake/mee chiang kueh, I knew I had to get my hands on this. Soft and chewy on the inside whilst retaining a nice crisp on the outside, I had no regrets getting this! Ordered chocolate cheese flavour, which came with a generous amount of chocolate (made with melted chocolate rice) and sliced cheese. Loved the savoury sweet combination of the two flavours.
Expect a brownie that’s more on the fudgey side. Chocolate sauce was extremely decadent — rich and smooth without being to sweet. Picked toasted almond and quinoa crunch as our toppings, and we liked the latter very much! Provided a nutty and crunchy contrast to this gooey plate. The Banana Walnut ice cream is on was fragrant and light, which paired well with the brownie as well.
Kind Kones serves up gluten-free, vegan, all natural and unprocessed ice creams.
Liked the balance in flavour and smooth texture of the Salted Choc Chip! Blue Planet was interesting - consists of almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, butterfly pea flower, vanilla and matcha cake. Would totally come back for the former again, but the latter not so much, as the coconut taste was a little strong for me. Do note that most of the ice creams harbour quite a strong coconut aftertaste here.
One of the two cakes we nabbed with Burpple Beyond’s 1-for-1! Matcha note was prominent in the smooth matcha cream, which I really liked, as it contributed to a bittersweet depth and nice variation in mouthfeel. Smattering of adzuki beans was a nice touch too — slight bite, which worked well to juxtapose the smooth cream and airy sponge layers.
However, we found that the sponge layers were a tad dry (possibly due to being left out for a long time as we visited right before closing), and the white fondant was rather flat in taste, which rendered it redundant. White chocolate or chocolate ganache instead, perhaps?
