11 NEW DISHES! L'Angélus has launched an excellent line-up of new dishes.

New staples include tantalising Pluma Ibérique ($45) and Bœuf Bourguignon ($132, 800g). The former features 200 grams of succulent Iberico pork “pluma” seasoned with shio koji and sous vide for an hour, then pan-roasted to finish.

Beef fans can’t miss the latter. Wagyu short ribs marinated overnight, it is pan-seared then braised bone-in with tomato paste and stock for five hours, before seasoning with mirepoix (made from cooked diced vegetables). It is served with creamy homemade pomme purée on the side.

Classically French, Vol-au-vent ($58) might be heavy but an outstanding dish that Chef Julien’s mama will whip out on special occasions too!

Cut into the layers of wispy puff pastry filled with sweetbread, morels, cockscomb, and chicken quenelle. Covered in a rich velvety mushroom sauce and reduced with a touch of cream and Cognac, you’ll keep going for seconds.

Lunch at Claudine Restaurant, a concept by Chef Julien. Not quite our usual afternoon tea affair though we were excited to check it out.

For mains, we had the Pumpkin Ravioli ($48) topped with black winter truffles (add-on $38) since it’s in season. Al dente pasta combined with butternut squash, black trumpet mushrooms and pistachio vinaigrette garnished with aged parmesan, it’s a common dish done uncommonly well.

This is the brand's FIRST outpost branch after opening its doors in Harajuku, Japan approximately three decades ago (in 1995)

Champion for the night will be their delicious Galette au Jambon & Champignon ($15.80) while sipping a glass of bubbly champagne 🥂Savoury crepe served with parmesan cheese, shoulder ham, molten egg and fried golden mushrooms

The Carvery CNY special will launch on 10 January 2017 and available till 11 February 2017. Known for their premium meats, you'll get to feast on three prosperous roasts and delicious items such as
- Crispy pork belly with apricot ginger sauce
- Honey-roasted leg of lamb
- Salted baked chicken
- Flower crab stew
- Roasted duck with yam croquettes - Persimmon fruit compote
- Yuzu trifle

Buffet priced at
Lunch: Adult $45++, Child $23++
Dinner: Adult $55++, Child $28++

Set in a colonial house with high ceiling and brick columns, they serve modern European dishes and drinks here. Lead by a new management team, a new interesting and delicious menu will be launch next Tuesday.

Featuring here is Roma Tomato Salad Jamon Serrano slices, puffed quinoa, marinated seaweed and melon dressing. We were impressed when it was served in a long platter with 5 other dishes.

Golden brown nuggets of cured codfish mashed up with potatoes, onions and parsley, dip into their own made tartar sauce. Gostoso~

Pan-fried tender cutlets of milk-fed baby lamb comes with greens and perfectly roasted potatoes. Served in olive oil and white wine reduction, it enhances the cutlets natural flavour.

A pricey place but since there 1-for-1 on the #EntertainerApp, we don't mind trying.

A rich and filling starter, consisting of scrambled eggs, smoked paprika sausage, croutons and mint. Farinheira is actually Portuguese smoked sausage made mainly from wheat flour, pork fat and seasonings.

I know we have Tong Heng and Tai Chong Bakery's egg tarts but Boca does them differently. Puff pastry crust filled with creamy egg custard that has a tinge of cinnamon and lemon zest, plus it's slightly charred at the top. Pretty dear for one small tart but DIVINE!
