Wrapped rice rolls with veg and pork slices

Really lovely and fresh flavours of the salad but was looking for a more distinctive Vietnamese marinate for the chicken - it seemed to be lacking in that Smoky flavour I was looking for in a grilled chicken.

Would be nice if the chicken was served a little warmer against the cool salad for a nice contrast.

If you are hungry - this might not be sufficient as a main meal 🙏

For those of you whom remember la Saigon at the plaza ( Beach Road )- they have found their new home at Alexandra mall 2 years back and we found them by chance.

I like how the cafe makes a lot of things with much emphasis on quality - ie homemade sourdough baguette and homemade soup stock with beef and chicken for their pho soup .

The salad was crisp and refreshing and the chicken tender and well marinated .

Flavours were beautiful but slightly expensive for the portions . Hope they would increase their portions :)

I was still hungry after finishing this 🥰

Refreshing salad and well marinated chicken in this cosy little Vietnamese cafe .

Food was fresh but portions a little small for the price 🙏

Came across this Vietnamese establishment at Alexandra Central and decided to give it a go. No regrets here; the Banh Mi is actually rather delicious, save for the face that the baguette could be a little more crisp and less limp; otherwise, the bread still gives considerable chew and is overall pretty light. The pate is also easy on the palate; gives the bread a light but lingering saltishness while the roast pork was reasonably juicy — liked how it comes with the crackling skin. Despite being a simple sandwich, it’s all I wish for in a Vietnamese baguette — flavoursome and fuss-free, pretty satisfying especially over a cup of Vietnamese Drip Coffee (White) on the side.

Lovely aromatic coffee at la Saigon .
Those of you who have tried this place when they were at the hidden basement at the plaza at Beach Road will be pleased to know they have moved to this sleepy Alexandra central mall some years back .

No fills cafe serving Vietnamese food and drip coffee .

And by the way ,they make their own sourdough bahn mi .
For your sourdough die hard fans - This is the place to get your bahn mi.
