🦀 Award-Winning Chilli Crab ($108++ for 1kg). Of course we had to try their renowned chilli crab, especially for first-timers like us. I’m not sure if I just haven’t had my chilli crab fix for a very long time before this, but it’s really good as well. Sauce could be watered down a bit, but the mantou buns ($0.80++ each) already balance it

🦞Australian Lobster and Glass VermicellI Braised with "Sha Cha' Sauce in Claypot ($24.80++/100g). There’s an ongoing 50% off promo for this AU lobster so we opted for this instead of the Boston one ($13.80++/100g). We weren’t supposed to order this but the nearby table had it and it smelled so goooood. It didn’t disappont at all! This is the best dish for me. Sauce is very savoury and sweet. Lobster, though teeny-bit overcooked for me, is really good as well. 800g was just enough for the 5 of us. The vermicelli felt like bottomless, there’s just too much 😂

We continue the crab meat selection with their fried rice to end our meal here.

It took awhile for them to serve this so there’s a bit of wait at the end (wasn’t good if you prefer to eat the sliced fish with the rice).

But this fried rice was surprisingly good for me. Rich in its taste and generous amount of crab meat inside.

Here comes the spotlight of the set lunch, serving one portion for every person.

The sauce was spicy and acceptable portion of the crab meat. This is definitely worth especially when you don’t want to spend too much to grab the crab itself, or having to crack the shell.

Here comes the main which I like the nonya sauce. The food all come in sequence as the menu, which means the rice or noodles only come at the end. So you have to eat the fish itself without the rice or have to wait.

The second appetiser we get was this refreshing one, serving with pineapples and grapes.

The portion given was considerably small to me but enough for both of us.

Jumbo Seafood has recently introduced their fuss-free chilli crab set lunch that available sail from now until end of 2020.

For $29++ per pax, the set lunch included (sharing) 2 appetisers, 1 meat, 1 rice or noodles and (1 portion per pax) chilli crab meat sauce with sliced fried man tou.

This was one of the appetisers we got, the baby squid was very crispy and they are covered with sweet sauce. Accompany with fried crackers.

Best eaten when served hot

One of the best dishes
Prawn taste fresh and the salted egg taste wasn’t too overwhelming, just nice

Super tasty Chilli crab along side with the mantous, we ordered extra portion of the mantou to dip in the chilli crab sauce.

The crabs are priced by weight, so I think before ordering, it is good to ask for the price to get a rough gauge of the cost

Quite crowded on a weekend night, so it is good to book in advance. Also, for frequent Jumbo diners, there is a Jumbo reward programme to get rewards ($20 membership fees).

Mee Goreng Small, $20. This has to be our favourite Main from Jumbo Seafood! Generous big chunk of ingredients of scallop, prawns, sotong! Noodles is stir-fried to the right texture and gravy not too wet and soaky. Amazing shiok!

Best served with Fried Mantous!

Chilli Crab - $88/kg (1 Crab)
📍: @jumboseafoodsg Singapore

The queue for this was worth it. 😌 Popular among tourists, Jumbo is undoubtedly one of the best crab places in Singapore. The must-try: their famed Chilli Crab. The crab meat was plump and juicy, which is indicative of their freshness. And not to mention, the wonderful chilli-eggy sauce that goes so well was the fried mantous. It's not just the taste, but the entire experience that Jumbo offers: putting on the plastic aprons and being hands-on with the eating experience, whilst enjoying the scenic night view along Clarke Quay. I guess it's the whole ambience that makes the dining experience even more memorable.

Sinking teeth into this glorious Chili crab but hating how they only give you an hour to eat coz it's peak hour.

有朋自远方来,一同去吃辣椒螃蟹!Jumbo chilli crabs! (I personally prefer their black pepper crabs) 😊

The famous chilli crab, JUMBO! The best chilli crab ever. With the location really adorable and good ambience. So you can enjoy your seafood with nice view in clarkquey, another location of Jumbo is Dempsey hill the popular location with a lot of cafe

I don't think I need spill more words on this one, cause this is a must-try dish for whoever come to Singapore, its the signature dish of this state. Just a few comments from my own, there was a tiny bit disappointment from me when I first try this dish, maybe it was because I set up a very high expectation at the beginning as it is way too famous. But despite all, I still enjoy the every bites of the crab as well as the puree along with the fried buns, such a delightful experience, the crab is fresh and juicy, the puree is incredibly delicious. The national dish is worthy of its name.
