Hokkaido Surume Ika ($25.00++) Grilled Squid with Chilli Powder / Seasalt / Teriyaki
Location: Jin Fine Dining, 76 Telok Ayer St, Singapore 048464
Sushi was fresh and would recommend their chirashi don. One of the best mid priced chirashi in town
Hidden authentic Japanese dining eatery situated which my girls brought me to dine in at Amoy Hotel (Near Telok Ayer) which I love the quiet ambience as well as for its fresh sashimi & chirashi π

Having tried their Premium Chirashi previously, I decided to go with ππ’π§ ππ‘π’π«ππ¬π‘π’ this time round! Lying atop the specially seasoned rice were generous slices of salmon, tuna, white tuna and scallop, topped with sea urchin, salmon roe and sweet prawn. Though Jin Chirashi was equally good, I personally prefer the Premium Chirashi bowl which boasts really thick and fresh sashimi cuts.

The dish was beautifully presented with fresh tuna, salmon and avocado wrapped around sushi rice stuffed with prawn tempura and lastly, topped with black tobiko caviar.
I love the textural contrast and flavors thatβs playing out in my mouth, with the crisp crunch from the fried tempura against the soft yet firm sushi and sashimi.
Delicious mix of chirashi. There was a mixture of different types, some soft to the point of melting in the mouth, some firm, and all smooth and fresh. The rice is brown rice with a special seasoning, so it tastes like an upgraded version of sushi rice. I rarely eat rice but I finished up every grain of this. The miso soup also tasted better than any other miso soup Iβve ever had, and had lots of beancurd and seaweed in it. Absolutely delicious dinner. 1-for-1 with Entertainer made it especially worth it.
Soft tofu in century egg sauce with spring onions and tobiko on top. The sauce is thick and has an overwhelmingly strong taste of century egg. Quite an interesting side dish.
This one was delicious. Pork was tender, there's a fatty layer on top of the lean meat, strong glaze. Recommended for sure, and yes the colour is actually that dark, it's not a lighting issue. Speaks to the flavour in this satisfying portion
It's good fried rice, w unagi in it. Doesn't rlly meld, probably needs a sweet sauce. There were some unagi pieces that were fishy. Portion is on the smaller side
Jin Chirashi ($35), unlike other chirashi which was usually served with normal white japanese rice, itβs served with seasoned rice which complemented well with the natural sweet tasting sashimi. Thick cut, variety and freshness is what constitutes a good bowl of chirashi and Jin Chirashi has more than fulfilled all!
Generous slices of tuna belly, salmon belly, amberjack, snapper, salmon roe, uni, botan shrimp and tamago lies on top of a bed of specially seasoned rice.
Itβs my first time having a chirashi bowl that consists of seasoned rice instead of the usual Japanese rice. I must say I will definitely crave for this seasoned rice now as it compliments the sashimi really well. Absolutely love how thick and fresh the sashimi pieces wereππ»!
Ambience was great and food was amazing! Definitely going back for moreπ!
Unagi fried rice is always a dish that I always like. This fried rice was a tad too oily as you can see. But the taste was there, a good serving of unagi together with the fragrance fried rice.
The premium chirashi came with tuna belly, salmon belly, amberjack, snapper, salmon roe & botan shrimp. The jin chirashi came with salmon, tuna, scallop, sweet prawn, sea urchin, white tuna & salmon roe.
These were pretty good chirashi dons! The tamago was really nice, and the rice was well-flavoured as they added ume which I really enjoyed. Standout components: tuna belly, snapper, & salmon roe. The rest were also rather fresh, but we would have preferred if the white tuna served to us didnβt contain bits of bloody parts.
We got this at 40% discount with eatigo! Itβs quite a steal with the discount, and the portions are also very generous.
Unagi portion seemed to have shrunk since the last time I was here. Could have been more generous with the unagi instead of the mayo sauce.
For this price point, I would expect the ingredients served to be of higher quality. The color of the uni was off and this was the first time I had amaebi that was totally tasteless. Was lacking in natural sweetness and freshness.
Great chirashi bowls where all the sashimi were super premium and fresh!! It wasn't Japanese white rice but still complemented so well together. The best part was using the eatigo app to eat at non-peak hours for discount ππ
Tastes as good as what you'd expect at an upmarket japanese restaurant, but at a fraction of the price. Came with salmon, tuna, scallops, sweet prawns and a tiny piece of uni, all so fresh it took my back to those days in Japan.
Fresh seafood in a bowl - couldnβt ask for more. The prawn was juicy and the salmon melted in my mouth. What was surprising was that the rice itself complimented the seafood very well. It wasnβt normal sushi/Japanese rice but was flavored with sesame. Really good!
I was impressed by the generous portion of their Chirashi. Itβs actually enough for sharing by 2 ladies. Love the freshness of the sashimi. Will be back for more
