Essentially this is the Wantan Mee of Sarawak. Ordered the dry version that comes with two prawns and two Wantan. Very generous with the chilli. Noodles were the egg noodles type and quite al dente. Overall quite nice and being a Sunday, no queue to speak off at this Alexandra outlet.
It was a hearty bowl of favourful noodles!!!! Though I still prefer the authentic one from Sarawak, but this is a close fight!!! And they are VERY generous with their premium ingredients so YUMS
Despite being pricier than the usual bowl of Kolo Mee, i don't regret paying that extra. The noodles are QQ and, after adding the sauce, it's addictive enough to eat on its own. The char siew was normal but they gave a good quantity of meat (with complimentary soup, wantons and prawns! note the veg at the top left corner isnt included in the set)
Pretty steep price to pay for average maggie like noodles with some minced pork, cha siew, dumplings and 2 tasteless shrimps. But we all have that moment of weakness for comfort maggie noodles once in a while.
Jia Xiang Kolo Mee (S$7.50)
Ordered this because wanted something that could serve fast and eat fast.
Realized that quite a number of tables were reserved.
The staff missed out my dining mates’ order of 2 curry noodles(S$7.50 each).
Have to go counter to remind them.

Woah! So expensive for a bowl of noodles and the ingredients are so normal. Will choose my fav traditional wanton mee over this boring bowl of noodles anytime :/
