Here I am having the Braised Pork Belly with bamboo noodles! The braised pork belly was really flavoursome, and most of all Tender! You can have a choice of bamboo noodles or rice and ya'll know how much of a noodle lover I am.. Mix the bamboo noodles with the dark sauce and poached egg for a silky and flavorful experience. I loved that the noodles were springy and had a good bite to them.

#IronRiceBowl is a restaurant offering Chinese / Japanese cuisine. Their regular set meals consist of a meat with your choice or grains or noodles ๐Ÿฅข

Tried the Braised Pork Belly with Bamboo Noodles - the meat is pretty well flavoured while the noodles has good texture. A simple, home cooked meal ๐Ÿก

P.s. Yes, I know it's Iron Rice Bowl but yet I got the noodles. I did 'kop' a bit of the rice from my fren. For a healthy grain, it's rly palatable. I like ๐Ÿ‘

Always love my FUN (้ฅญ) & this time, i got mine at @ironricebowlpp, a branch of Iron Supper Club helmed by celebrity chef Heman. ๐Ÿš After a recent intense discussion on the best Char Siew in Singapore with @foodleaguesg @whitelabelpr & @so.gelly, I found it challenging to resist ordering a Char Siew Pork Rice Bowl ($12.90). ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Needless to say, I caved in to temptations! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
.
Their 4 Grain Blackberry Rice was certainly ticked off the box for my #eatclean attempt. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Of a pleasant firm & chewy texture, it releases the fragrance of the grains in every bite. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹Accompanied by sweet corn kernels, crispy pok choy crackers & tart pickles (both remind me of yusheng!) & topped with a perfectly runny egg, I was honestly excited about my meal. ๐Ÿ’•
.
The set includes a small side of fresh greens with perfectly crispy sweet potato tempura โญ, firm piece of silken tofu, & a milky-white collagen soup that you totally should mix with your rice. ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค It imparts some sweet & savoury elements as well as harmonising the taste of the ingredients together ๐Ÿ’ฏ, just that I didnโ€™t like it making my crackers soggy. ๐Ÿ˜…
.
Moving on to the highlight - the Char Siew! Quite a good lean-fat ratio that I think most people will like (though I prefer leaner cuts) so it was quite tender, albeit not juicy. โค However, Iโ€™d definitely prefer more caramelised glaze & char, cuz my ideal Char Siew has to be glistening & charred! The predominantly sweet sauce compensated a little for the lack of smoky flavours. ๐Ÿ˜”
.
They offer a wide array of rice bowls like BBQ Pork Baby Back Ribs, 14-Day Aged Pork Tonkatsu, Braised Pork Belly, Braised Beef Brisket, BBQ Half Chicken, Breaded Fish etc. Youโ€™ll be spoilt for choice! โœ” Worth a try for Easties! ๐Ÿ˜Š
