Hock Soon Carrot Cake (Ghim Moh Market)

[GHIM MOH, SINGAPORE] I actually don't usually order carrot cake when I eat outside, but it's an exception when I head to Ghim Moh food centre for lunch. This plate of Black Carrot Cake ($4) from Hock Soon was such a delight. With huge portions and a generous amount of egg, you also get so much flavour in each bite! It wasn't too sweet nor too salty, and had the right fluffy texture. The preserved vegetable bits further added another dimension of flavour!

Definitely getting this again, and maybe compare with the opposite stall that is more seemingly more popular? 😆

Enjoy a plate of dark sauce carrot cake from this stall early in the morning. Fry with enough taste to savour, and great texture in every pieces.

But it's their Carrot Cake that everyone is queuing up for. Waited damn long to reach my turn to order, was undecided to get black or white, but the longer I waited, the more hungry I got. And when my turn came along, instinctively, ordered 2 plates of each flavour.

Black Carrot Cake was damn good, the egg was still so "Yolkie", sweet but not overly. Instantly became 1 of my favourite CTK to have

White Carrot Cake was also good, chilli was good also.

Both Carrot cake also damn good, so just buy whatever your preference is.
