Enjoy dining without burning a hole in your pocket, no membership required
Got my usual office mid-day peak-me-up, Hellu Coffeeβs signature Matcha Creamu as well as their Sesame Cream Croffle ($7.90) for the very first time. I must admit I wasnβt very sure about the sesame cream as it was pretty light in colour (it's a far cry from the thick and dark goma paste we are familiar with). However, their rendition was spot on, not too in the face with the nuttiness yet distinctive and flavourful. The airy, smooth cream infused with specks of sesame was earthy and wonderfully fragrant - great with the delicately crisp-chewy and buttery croffle.
As coffee aficionados, we ordered the Black Creamu ($8.20) and the White Creamu ($8.70 for iced). Aesthetically IG-worthy as they came atop with dollops of smooth sweet cream and dusted with cocoa powder. The Plain Croffle ($5.50) was buttery sweet with a light crisp to it and a slightly chewy texture.

Matcha was really smooth. The Cream on top is slightly sweet and doesnβt taste greasy. But itβs quite a small cup for the price tagβ¦
Even though it's been around for quite some time now, the crowd on a weekday afternoon was impressive, and it took about 30-45min to get a table, with several visitors choosing to purchase takeaways instead.
Feeling extremely lucky to snag a seat outdoors (albeit super warm with no Aircon), I settled for these:
ππππ©πππ πΎπ§πππ’πͺ π΅π₯ ($8.90) - Unlike the gorgeous cream peaks that adorn most IG photos, the cream on mine arrived flat, probably having sat around for some time before it was served. π₯² Thankfully, it was still flavour packed, and although it is priced a little on the steep side, the grassy and slightly sweet π΄πππππ πΏ was a great tongue pleaser. Couldn't say much for the cream since I couldn't taste much texture, but I did enjoy the dusting of πͺππππ π·πππ ππ π«which subtly elevated and enhanced the drink as a whole.

The highlight is definitely the signature homemade cream which unexpectedly stole the show π₯Ή itβs light creamy and sweet which elevated the beverages and made them so satisfying β¨
This hole-in-wall cafe is best known for their delicious signature creamu series. So if youβre visiting, donβt miss out on that! π«Ά Seats are limited though you can opt for takeaway.
