Rice was p fluffy and soft, dry enough to pair with the rendang sauce. Lion mane mushroom was meaty, went well with the flavourful and spicy rendang sauce. I liked the stir fried cabbage, as well as the tangy sweet achar it came with. Pappadum crackers were crisp! They served it with lotus root soup (with lotus root and peanuts), which is my fav soup so I was happy. Soup is not the most ζ΅, itβs v thin but itβll do! I was p full and satisfied, though I donβt think this is v healthy but probably healthier than regular rendang.
So good!! I loved that it had tons of veggies - enoki, naibai, potato slices, lotus root slices, baicai, and goji. Yong tau foo pieces were crisp as they were deep(?) fried. The stuffing is vegetarian but resembled minced meat, was flavourful but not salty. I liked the taupok the best, but the stuffed mushroom and eggplant were both great as well, juicy and tasty. It's also served with some tanghoon, with a pumpkin broth (I wouldn't call it gravy bc it's not v thick) that had a nice natural sweetness.
Was v filling, I was full and v satisfied!

There are always long queue at green dot. Luckily went there earlier so not need to wait. Is a healthier choice with the food looks tempting. The drinks also nice. Staff and services are good too. They employ quite a number of senior citizens but they are all very friendly. Will come again!
The Hotpot Set for 1 with Handmade Noodles ($12.90 nett) was either a new addition to Greendot's menu, or perhaps something that I've glossed over/never noticed before. Wanting to try something different, I opted for this as opposed to my usual favourite.
Ordered at the cashier - chose the herbal soup base - & then sat down. Was pretty confused when my meal was served to me & it was a bowl of soup teeming full of ingredients, & another bowl with the handmade noodles inside... Where's the hotpot?
I was expecting something at least like the Minipot Noodles (ε°η’ι’) that you get at hawker centres.. With a little candle/fire below the pot. But this wasn't the case. Were my expectations misplaced or unfounded?
I enjoyed my meal while it lasted, especially with the plethora of ingredients in my soup. My favourites are the shiitake mushrooms, white enoki mushrooms, tau pok, & konnyaku crab ball.
However, my general preference is to eat noodles in soup, as opposed to dry noodles with soup on the side. The noodles were served separately for good reason; they were tossed in a soy sauce (too salty for my liking) so I couldn't dunk them in my soup for fear of making everything too salty.
With all that said & done, I'll probably revert to my usual favourite - the Angelica Herbal Noodle with Cordyceps ($7.90 nett). The noodles are served in the soup, & it's cheaper too.
Not a bad meal, just a confusing one & not to my preferences!

Slightly cheaper than the fresh mixed mushroom burger $9.90 we tried. We reckon that it might be because of soya patty. To our surprise, cheap can be good or better in this case. It is not as soggy as the mixed mushroom. The sesame bun holds the burger well and the soya patty is laminated with black pepper sauce. π
We prefer this to the mixed mushroom burger. For the vegetarian burger, Greendot offers quite a decent price tag with the menu choices. Do give theit burger try for a change! π
