Vegetarian
One of the 3 new dishes for āEat Bean Feel Goodā theme. We got a sigh of relief when they introduce these as you know we love their detox vegetarian food but itās been ages that we always have the same dish! š„ŗ
.
We wait for 10 mins for this takeaway. At $1+ per ball, the chickpea balls are crunchy with fine chickpea filling with slight drizzle of mayo mustard. We like the taste but donāt think the ball size and sauce are enough.
.
Overall, this new dishās quite overpriced and we wonāt revisit this dish but hey! at least we can share the experience with yāall. šš
With 100+ ratings on google and the fact that we are vegetarian food fans, we simply gotta check it out. We pick dry noodle with chilli. The thin noodle is slightly mushy when coated with the sauce. They are generous with their ingredients ie mock meat (char siew) and Choy sum. They are also very affordable. Maybe we should come back to try their rice dish next! š
P.S. during lunch time, there is a long queue at this stall. We come around 11.30 and still manageable. š
Just like that! we finally just completed our noodle dishes journey at Greendot (check out our noodle experience here in the vegetarian folder) āŗļø
.
It seems we save the best noodle for the last!! Other than the fact that we are obsessed with mee pok. This bowl is somewhat different from the rest (the highlight gotta be the noodle itself and fried mixed vegetable gyoza). Two pieces of Gyoza are never enough! š The Noodle has a nice springy texture. The familiar faceless ingredients also show up like konnyaku Fishball, minced soya, shiitake mushroom, cabbage & bean sprout and lettuce.š
Totally crowned as our most favourite noodle dish in Greendot & we are not biased!! š
Comes to a signature dish of this stall āTom Yum Bee Hoonā, we do love the tangy (sour soup base) . We enjoy tofu, lady fingers, cucumber & carrot. Prefer this dish to the mushroom udon but again donāt expect the thick creamy soup. Itās clear & sour soup. We would love to see some lime leaves, galangal or anything that signify Tom Yum dish but have found none.
.
However, the amount of bee hoon in the bowl is mind blowing. We almost not manage to finish the noodle. Can we trade bee Hoon for tofu please? šš All in all it is a value vegetarian eat but we canāt say it is our favourite place.
A decent bowl of udon but taste quite one dimension. We can notice the amount of mushroom going into this bowl: the soup base taste very much like a mixed between rice flour & chopped mushroom. It is thick but we very much want to get some more flavour. The good thing is that the dish is packed with feel good ingredients like tofu, broccoli & cherry tomato, seaweed strips
Slightly cheaper than the fresh mixed mushroom burger $9.90 we tried. We reckon that it might be because of soya patty. To our surprise, cheap can be good or better in this case. It is not as soggy as the mixed mushroom. The sesame bun holds the burger well and the soya patty is laminated with black pepper sauce. š
We prefer this to the mixed mushroom burger. For the vegetarian burger, Greendot offers quite a decent price tag with the menu choices. Do give theit burger try for a change! š
Gonna stick to vegetarian food for a while though itās quite a journey for the selections! š
No more bento & noodle!! This time we give their burger set a try. š¤©
.
The mixed mushroom is a Gung Pao Mushroom in Essence. It is so juicy filling that the burger paper canāt hold its juice. Call for š“ to rescue!!! If we can request Greendot, we would love to see the lion mane mushroom filling instead so itās flavour packed and easier to hold! š The burger comes with fries (same system like other burger joints for ketchup & sauce) š¤
Letās rock on for rainy Saturday! We also try another burger here, gonna share later...do stay tuned!
As we are still stick to our vegetarian diet, this vegan pho is like a heaven find. We ask the counter staff if we can get 1 small pho and 1 regular size as we thought they have 2 sizes as in the website. In Takashimaya outlet, they have 1 size only. After a while, our buzzer ring and we pick our order to enjoy. š¤©
.
The vegan pho has 4 types of mock meat: prawn, prawn ball, fish ball, fish maw look alike. (We try to count) š¤ Full of bean sprouts, nai bai, onion, spring onion, shiitake mushroom. Tasty on its own with flavorful broth. However, wish they could allow patron to take condiments easily from counter. We ask for chili & it was pulled from their cupboard or maybe we are too early for their dinner service.š§ (5:30 is our dinner time)
Try the new noodle dish here (new in a sense that we never try before š). The ingredients are basic: coriander, sliced carrot, shiitake mushroom in sauce & noodle and lettuce. We do enjoy it though we think that their sambal chilli & sliced fresh chilli lend a lot of helping hands!! š¤
Donāt be misled by its Chicken title. This is a vegetarian dish suitable for breaky but we have it for lunch anyway.š Generous You Tiao sprinkle on top of plain porridge & abalone (look alike) mock meat. Add oil, pepper & perhaps a bit of soy sauce to add flavour.š
We gotta admit that we prefer the flavour of dishes prepared by this Nature Cafe compared to our regular Vegetarian eatery (you know where š). Also there seems to be more options to keep Vegetarian food interesting!!
Deserved to be in the premium item. This green curry dish proves to us that vegetarian dish can be as tasty and not bland. Funnily enough that this green curry dish tastes better than some Thai restaurants we tried in SG. š¤«
The okra & eggplant are married in a thick green curry with lion mane mushroom š taking the centre stage. Although they donāt use lime leaves as the original Thai curry, the curry leaves do a great job for fueling the aroma. This is our most favourite dish for this visit. Enjoy this curry with brown rice (we order extra separately). The portion is great for sharing 2 persons.šš
Always want to try Mi kolok in the original version and what a surprise to find this item in a vegetarian eatery in Suntec. āMi Kolokā Or āMee Kolokā or āKolo Meeā is a Sarawak noodle dish (noodle tossed in the light soy sauce) topped with spring onion & fried onion. š
.
The mi Kolok served at Nature Cafe has shiitake mushroom, seaweed, sliced lettuce, cucumber, peanuts & mock meat (we think). It is spicy & got a good crunch although we are not sure of some small stiff particle whether it is spice or else.š§
Suggest pour the soup onto the noodle bowl to reduce heat & stir mixture before you enjoy š
