Ginger at PARKROYAL on Beach Road has launched a refreshed à la carte and new set lunch menu curated by Executive Chef Vincent Aw. Savour Singapore’s foodscape of distinctive and diverse flavours, highlights of the Ginger’s refreshed menu include:

Popiah with Bamboo Shoots and Ayam Penyet Crust ($12.00++) – Ginger’s interpretation of Popiah, inspired by the rich culture of its neighbourhood at Kampong Glam. Soft, thin paper-like crepe with bamboo shoots, turnip and soft boiled eggs. Topped with Ayam penyet crust, garlic, chilli, coriander, peanuts and sweet sauce.

*NEW* Hainanese Chicken Chop ($16.00++) Grilled boneless chicken marinated with Chef’s special sauce that is served with a side of fries, baked beans, coleslaw and garlic bread.

*NEW* Angus Beef Striploin ($32.00++) Australian black Angus beef marinated with special homemade spices and a side of fries.

New set lunch menu ($18.00++) is also available from Monday to Friday from 12.00pm to 2.30pm that comes with a choice of 1 appetiser, 1 main dish and 1 coffee, tea, or soft drink.

The Hainanese Chicken Chop — it’s classic comfort food and Ginger has managed to further elevate it. The grilled boneless chicken was amazingly juicy, tender and absolutely delicious, having been thoroughly marinated with the chef’s special sauce.

Local favourite Crab Bee Hoon which was strongly recommended by the staff. Made of thin vermicelli (aka bee hoon) and chunks of fresh crab meat in a rich gravy, it is mouthwatering good.

A myriad of local delights. at Ginger. The popular halal-certified buffet restaurant has launched a refreshed àla carte and affordable lunch set.

New on the menu include Hainanese Chicken Chop, a boneless chicken chop marinated with Chef’s special sauce. Huge enough for two. It is served with a side of fries, baked beans, coleslaw and garlic bread.

Another will be the delicious Popiah with Bamboo Shoots & Ayam Penyet Crust ($12). Comes in two, the thin paper-like crepe is stuffed with bamboo shoots, turnip and soft boiled eggs. Topped with Ayam penyet crust, garlic, chilli, coriander, peanuts and sweet sauce.

The ‘Local Delights at Ginger’ buffet menu is created by Executive Chef Vincent Aw and his team, which features heritage Malay and Indonesian favourites, including the iconic Haig Road Putu Piring that is available daily and prepared a la minute.

In addition to the dessert, diners can look forward to the following dishes that are only available for dinner such as lamb murtabak, grilled ayam percik, lobster nasi lemak, Ginger ‘Ramly’ burger and braised lamb shank tulang from the ordering menu. My favourites will have to be the grilled ayam percik and Ginger ‘Ramly’ chicken burger. The former has the smoky aroma from the charcoal grill while the latter is a miniature elevated version of the famous roadside burger. Prices for the dinner buffet start from $65 for adults and $32.50 for children during Mondays to Thursdays, $75 and $37.50 respectively on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.

Over the weekend, we headed down to Ginger for their á la carte dinner buffet ($58++ per pax) and the newly renovated botanical theme restaurant is so pretty:) Great atmosphere aside, there are quite a number of hits among the dishes served and my favourites include Chilli Crab with mantou, Kam Heong Crab with Spring Onion, Penang Laksa, Singapore Laksa, Crispy Lamb with Thai Green Sauce, Salmon with Saffron and Seafood Ragout, Sate Lilit (minced seafood wrapped around lemongrass) and Durian Pengat🤤 There is a good mix of Western and Asian cuisine, and I’m super full by the end of the meal even though I didn’t try everything on the menu. Satisfied!

After searching for a buffet with crab, I have managed to find this newly renovated restaurant. We booked via Eatigo and there was 50% at the timing we booked at 9pm. Tried to go earlier but they only allow us to dine in at 8.45pm as restaurant is almost full house.

They offer variety of local, Japanese and western dishes. They have lobster available too.

There are four type of crab they offered and it was not great but still acceptable.

With the Eatigo discount, I only need to pay $29++ each and total of $136.53 for 4 pax.

It is not bad for the price and location so do give it a try.

Feature some of the dishes that i tried, the Signature Chilli Crab with Mantou.
Its more towards to sweet than spicy, so don't worry for diners that cant take the spicy food.
And for people who prefer more heat in their food, can try Kam Heong Crab stir fried with curry leaves, curry powder, dried shrimp, shallots, garlic, chillies and spring onions.
Its definitely give a kick after eating it.
Beside these two, I enjoyed the chicken wings, and sate lilit.

Besides the outlook, the all-day dining restaurant has unveiled a new ala carte lunch and dinner buffet of our local familiar flavours with over 50 dishes. To compliment with the interior, each dish is plated differently, even down to the actual plates that are served with the food. Highlights include the Signature Crabs of Singapore Chilli Crab with Mantou and the Kam Heong Crab stir fried with curry leaves, curry powder, dried shrimp, shallots, garlic, chillies and spring onions that resulted in a perfumed fragrant when it’s served. Other notable dishes that you can look forward to include the homemade otah, homemade Penang laksa and Singapore Laksa with River Prawns. Lunch starts from $48++ per adult and dinner from $58++ per adult.

This is a value for money buffet for seafood lovers as it includes free flow crabs in 4 flavours, black pepper lobsters, squids and prawns. They also had local delights such as satay, otah, laksa, durian pengat and chendol.

As this is a “no pork no lard” restaurant, their variety for meat dishes are quite limited.

A galore of crab dishes, prepared in a myriad of cooking methods. There’s the crowd favourite Claypot Crab with Pumpkin Broth, much-loved Singapore Chilli Crab and Black Pepper Crab plus daily special.

From 9 to 30 December 2019 (excluding 24 and 25 December), the Claw-Inspiring Crabs Galore will be complemented with an array of classic festive treats.

P.S: Ginger is now featuring a “No Pork, No Lard” menu.

Besides the usual flower clams, cooked prawns, snow crab legs from the Seafood on Ice Station, these crustaceans seem to have taken over the main dishes segment as well as snatching all the limelight. .
Popular dishes include the bursting goodness of the salted egg crab, the sambal lobster with petai and the forever popular Singapore’s chilli crab with sauce finger licking good! Fried mantous are of course included in the buffet for dipping into the sauce.

Running from now until 28 July 2019, Ginger’s buffet places the crustaceans on centre stage, a specially conceptualised showcase of seafood specialties.
