Not worth the price. Chicken was dry and tough, sad portion of mushrooms, bland in taste.
Thinking about the Seven Spice Chai ($6) I had at Fifty50 some time back. Definitely one of the more memorable chai lattes I've had with a fairly strong kick of cinnamon which also brings out some sweetness, among other spices, for an aromatic beverage that does not fall short on flavour. Haven't exactly had better since. Plus I got to watch the barista work on the latte art and I have nothing but mad respect for such creative and talented people. π
This was part of a hosted meal at @fifty50sg.
If you're eyeing for a non-veggie dish at Fifty50, the Linguine Chili Crab ($14) is a potential crowd pleaser for the (meat eating) masses. The chili crab pasta sauce has a slight kick of spiciness with cherry tomatoes, onions and chunks of crab meat. I have to say, even though I avoid eating seafood to avoid potentially embarassing gagging episodes, I did not get any of that 'taste of the sea'! Rather than being a local fusion gimmick, this dish actually gels pretty well together as a whole. For one, to say that I am totally cool with sharing this says a lot about this, as a seafood dish. π

The combination of the dense feta cheese and soft pumpkin gives a rich, mouth-filling texture, and their juxtaposing flavours coupled with nutty nuances from the pine nuts makes the pasta really appetizing.
Fifty50 Daily Greens ($6.50) changes regularly and what I had was seasonal vegetables with cous cous and house pickled beetroot, served with a zesty orange dressing. Options to add on proteins are available, including Crunchy Falafel which is less commonly available in cafes.

For a cafe to serve this, I think they can do way better than that. I can do this myself at home.

Though not the best chilli crab pasta Iβve had, I do enjoy the linguine for its al dente texture thatβs pleasant to the bite. Of course, not forgetting the savoury sweet-spicy chilli crab sauce thatβs thick, flavourful with a tinge of spice! Heard from the owner that curry leaves are incorporated into this dish, which perhaps accounted for the fragrance! β¨ Along with shredded crabmeat thatβs fresh and juicy, the linguine also comes with cherry tomatoes that added a tangy note. Would prefer if there was a higher intensity of spice here though, as one who adores spice! π₯ Nevertheless, this dish seemed to be a hit among most during the tasting, but for me, the Falafel ciabatta remains no.1! π .

Thanks @fifty50sg for the sumptuous spread the other day and @yongkaiiii for extending the invite! πππ»ββοΈ .
