Miso Mushroom Noodles, Veggie Mandu and Sparkling Water
Finally I got the chance to try this since last year but I was slightly full to eat so I passby the area and decided to hop in for lunch deal instead. They got a variety of dumplings to choose from the menu but the noodle and drink wise got less choice as their specality was dumpling. I wanted to try their special dumplings like fried pierogi's high recommended for people also but I just stick usual ones such as original or veggie. Veggie Mandu just slightly oily for me and also their sauce already dipped with dumplings while serving. But the fillings inside the dumplings got a lot of ingredients and just nice for the serving. Miso Mushroom Noodles I felt in my opinions like dry noodle with mushrooms and meats but people was really high recommended for this. I almost cannot eat noodle finish as the sauce for the noodle was a bit strong taste for me. I just stick to their dumplings instead of their noodles tbh next time.
Finally tried Dumpling Darlings! A lot of value for their lunch deal. Priced at $17, the set comes with your choice of egg noodles, dumplings (4 pieces) and a cold drink. Chose the Sichuan Pork Noodles – noodles were springy and pork was well minced. Not nearly as spicy as I’d like but that’s a matter of personal preference as I tend to like my spicy dishes to practically set me on fire.
Came here to get the miso mushroom noodle & braised pork noodle at $8.50++. Both are delicious but I like the miso mushroom more while my friend prefer braised pork noodle.
It’s been a while since I ate at Dumpling Darlings but it is still as good when I had lunch there recently! The Lunch Set ($17) comes with a noodles, dumplings and a drink of your choice.
The Sichuan Pork Noodles and Braised Pork Noodles are delicious. The springy egg noodles go very well with the flavourful Sichuan minced meat and shredded pork ragu. The fried shallots and bacon sofrito add a nice crunch and fragrance to the noodles, and the Hanjuku egg is the cherry on top of the cake. Love it!
There is a variety of dumplings to choose from and they are generally good. The original dumplings feature thin dumpling skin with tasty pork and cabbage filling. However, the dumpling with the wow factor would have to be Fried Pierogi, which is a crispy parcel of smoked bacon, truffle potatoes, caramelised onions and cheddar. I’m not a big fan of deep-fried food but this is so good.
The iced drinks are equally good - I love their Grapefruit Thyme Green Tea and Longan Osmanthus Pu-Erh. Overall, this is a pretty good lunch spot in CBD given the quality and portion of the food served - satisfied!
