Matcha Latte

Simply loved this place. The cafe not only has a very chill ambience for you to have a good break with your friends or loved ones, the coffee here is really good as well. The flat white ($7.50) was smooth, bold and yet not too acidic and dry. The Matcha Latte Expresso ($7.50) is very good as well as it was very smooth and aromatic. Very rarely I've drank Matcha Latte that is this smooth. Definitely will be back!

Matcha latte espresso was milky and too light on both the matcha and coffee. Didn’t satisfy my craving for either matcha or coffee. Abit disappointing after seeing all the rave reviews so maybe it’s just me.

Was craving for a matcha latte and friends recommended Kurasu’s - it’s pricey but it was a really enjoyable cup, smooth with distinct matcha notes and just the right amount of milk. It’s a tiny bit sweeter but I didn’t mind it!

Ordered the iced matcha latte, iced hojicha latte & chocolate bread! Drinks are really good & I highly recommend it! can’t say the same for the bread though.

Their Iced Matcha Latte Espresso (SGD7.50) was so well-balanced and came together as a formidable unit. You got to try it for yourself!

Although their Iced Hojicha Latte (SGD7.50) was on point too, I still preferred @hvala_sg’s.

Wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Had the matcha latte + espresso and it was AMAZING. Absolutely loved how smooth it was!

Just like what Kyoto and the surrounding region do really well, the Singapore outpost of Kurasu does their matcha latte equally well. It seems that they get their own matcha supplies from Uji itself, and the difference in milk used does not seem to make this drink less special than its original counterpart. The seating area is small, talk long sofas with social distancing markers, and post lunch it can be crowded from students and office workers nearby, but the staff are still very prompt and friendly manning this new spacious, airy, Kyoto-esque feel space of theirs.

The glorious 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚(~$5), which is made from matcha powder from Kyoto, was best described as ‘coming home after a long day to the comfort of your bed’. Served at the perfect warm temperature instead of scalding hot (the way many places do it), the matcha powder melds well with the milk without clumping.

Velvety and light, this matcha latte was sweeter than your typical bitter brews, yet not sweet like your flavoured lattes.

Consider ditching neighbour Hvala once for this: you might be surprised 🥰

I have hear about this place long time ago and finally made my trip here. Located on the second floor of Ocean Tower, the actual location is actually the lower building in front of it. Look for their signage along the walkway and take the lift up to 2nd floor.

The cafe is situated within the co-working space so expect the office setting layout of seats here.

I came during afternoon so I ordered this as I don’t want to consume anymore coffee. The matcha doesn’t taste strong enough and overwhelming by the milk. Probably I should try their coffee next time.
