We used the Entertainer 1-for-1 deal and the bill was approx $18 per pax, so I would say it's rather worth it with the promo. Would probably come back again if there are future deals, or when I feel like treating myself 🤣
Loved the mala soft shell crab pasta, and I consider the dish a steal at the promo price!
The Chug Chug pasta was a seafood and roasted pork belly combi with salted egg sauce. Tasted pretty interesting , but gets gelat after a while.
Scallop mentaiko pasta was not bad, although I prefer other similar dishes at other restaurants.
Satay meat chunks were bigger than expected but meat was quite hard, took a while to chew and eat.
Photo opportunities are abundant on level 2 with its Retro whimsical design that reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.
Have fun dining and camwhoring! (:
Using the entertainer app, we got 1 for 1 mains for the Buttermilk Chicken Burger and the Black Angus Ribeye with Truffle Mash. Steak was really good including the sauce and mashed potato! Surprisingly the burger was really filling and the chicken meat was insanely big, I was already full halfway through the burger.
If you're not a fan of sitting outside and having to deal with the throng of passer-by streaming in and out of the walkway and inhaling smoke every 5 minutes, I'd suggest you to come a tad bit earlier than the dinner crowd or reserve a spot rather than walking in!
Total damage:
- Butter Milk Chicken Burger ($18)
- Black Angus Ribeye with Truffle Mash ($29.90)
- Draught Beers ($9) + ($10)
$27/pax, ☆☆☆☆
Chug's prime beef burger ($18.90+) was smaller than I expected, but is packed with good ingredients. The beef patty was juicy, & I especially enjoyed the cheese pairing the slightly creamy monterey jack with the sharpness of the aged cheddar. The layer of onion jam in between punctuated the burger with delightful sweetness, as did the arugula with it's herbal crunch. Shoestring fries were really good, too. Crispy, & the Taste of Potato really came through - just how I like my fries.
But would I come here again? Nope. I'm not a huge fan of waiting for almost forever. I'm sure there are lots who'd beg to differ - e.g. the boisterous young'uns I was surrounded with tonight.

Vongole ($18++) was on the slightly small side (portion-wise), but clams weren't sandy (yay) & there was loads of garlic. I'd be surprised if this messed up.

& the food at Chug Chug? Not half bad.
While not photogenic, I find the batter-fried oyster mushrooms with curry cream ($13++) fairly unique, though I'm not quite sure if we enjoyed it so much only because we were starving.

Oh, & it also took them 20 minutes to settle my bill. Internet problem, apparently. The waiter also keyed in my bill wrongly, without offsetting the $100 worth of Chope vouchers that I purchased. I spotted it immediately & he was apologetic. Rectified it eventually but yes, I reiterate, everything took way too long to happen today, & that's a huge turn off to me.
Btw, did you know that you can only redeem Chope points for a $10 off ChopeDeals voucher once a month? I hadn't noticed than in the T&Cs. Shame because my Chope$s are expiring in June, & their portfolio of rewards has been downsized so much that it isn't even attractive anymore.... Quite a shame. /endPSA
