Chef introduced this to me before he opened his second stall. Unfortunately, although oysters and peanuts are two of my favourite things, I didn't enjoy this, because the vadai was too unsavoury and powdery. I hope he eventually improved it.

Chef goo has a rather extensive menu, from noodles, to pao fan, to fried rice, then can add on meats or seafood. Feels so spoilt for choice.

Decided to have the seafood pao fan and their signature red sea prawns hokkien mee.

The seafood was damn fresh.

Noodles have a distinctive wok hei.

Pork belly was soft and just melts in your mouth, fat ratio was high.

As they provided only disposable utensils, would be better if they de-shell the prawns. Felt like I made a mess eating this.

The seafood paofan was good, soup was flavourful.

Seafood was fresh for sure.

Looks good taste good.

Would have been better if there was some chilli padi to throw into the soup for some spiciness.
They only have sambal chilli.

My love for hokkien mee has taken a backseat for a while since I do not have any good nearby options. Glad to chance upon Chef Goo’s as theirs is pretty decent

Dish is filling with its generous toppings - plump prawns though slightly overcooked are fresh, a few pork belly slices, lard, and some lala. It is on the wetter side (which I prefer), though the β€œbroth” is a bit bland

Being a lazy ass, having that big of a prawn, I abhor the peeling part lol. Added in here (second photo) their peeled version ($6) which I enjoyed too, but not as much as the full one despite not doing the deshelling myself πŸ˜‚

Price of the braised pork belly noodle is around $12. The taste of the braised pork belly taste is too strong. The portion is huge, but don't bother ordering this. You won't be able to finish it due to its portion and taste. Only managed to finish a quarter or less of it. Highly not recommended.

I remembered to skip the prawns this time and chef offered more pork belly instead. It was fatty and tender, so enjoyable. Noodles were still good. What was offensive was the lao hong and tasteless lard. I don't know what happened.
