Ordered the grilled chicken thinking that it would be a no carb dish (rice was not mentioned on the menu). After the food came we were quite shocked and went to re-read the menu, only to see that this dish fell under the "East meets West" category which i guess was all served with rice (could be clearer on the menu!)
Honestly super pricey at $19++ and for the quality + portion, i'd say that it's not really worth. Tried my friend's truffle mushroom pasta and it was disappointing too. Bland and watery🥲 not sure if it's just a bad day for the chef (because this place seems to have good reviews). The saving grace was the truffle fries!
But I don't think I will be back again and would very much prefer to eat at Saizeriya.
truffle taste was strong and ikura provided a wholesome flavour. for the price, the cafe was quite generous w the uni (abt 4 - 5 pieces of small uni). however, uni was not as fresh as restaurant’s grade. nonetheless, dish was decent!
also, do take note that cafe does not sells dazzling toasts anymore!
The duck leg was pan-seared to golden on their skin leaving it crispy while the meat was tender and tears apart easily. Flavor of the dish was well balanced between the citrusy orange sauce and savory brown sauce. Mash was buttery and creamy smooth. Complete your dining experience with their Taiwanese Chicken Bites! It’s amazingly tender, juicy and addictive!
Chocolate Hazelnut Honey Toast (~$18) was a sight for sore eyes for sure 🥰 Wait for the ice cream to melt to enjoy a mix of sweet, rich chocolate ice cream with buttery crispy chunky toast 🍞
.
Imo the toast could be more buttery and softer, bc the chocolate ice cream was REALLY RICH and could be too jelak without that buttery contrast.

Rose Latte with Alcohol (~$8) had (unexpectedly) a strong rose flavour, though I couldn’t taste any alcohol 🤷🏻♀️

Not sure about you, but I’m sold when I see Uni Truffle Pasta (~$28) on the menu 🤤
.
Soft angel haired pasta was tossed well with a generous amount truffle oil, ikura and best of all, plump uni 🍝 Admittedly, the pasta was on the saltier side with the truffle oil overwhelming the weaker flavour of the uni, and imo the dish could be better by toning down on the oil 😛 But tbh at this price point it’s p decent!
