Michelin bib and for good reason, they're special

Soup had a incredible depth, probably a lot of salt and msg tbh. Kway had a bit of crystal bite, lovely as well

Chili was tangy and worked well w the ingredients. Pork belly in particular was very brined/marinated so there's great flavour. Large intestines was also very aromatic and the texture was brilliant too. Tau pok had more bite than normal, it's quite unique

The rest of the stuff were decent as well, small intestines were abit harder tho, not rlly my thing

Overall it's worth a visit, esp for the pork belly which already looks very good when you see it on display

Expect to queue during meal times.

Featured in the Michelin Guide, BTK’s Kway Chao Braised Duck whips up a pretty decent plate of duck rice at an affordable price. Meat was just slightly fatty, but combined with the herbaceous sauce and rice, it was a nice treat. The soup on the side was however, was very salty. A decent, good meal I must say, though they seem more famous for their Kway chap which I didn’t get to try. And be prepared to queue as well!

Duck rice comes with egg, tofu, pickled veggies, herbal soup and braised duck. Duck is so tender bites off easily. Price is also very affordable and for the generous portion you get, it’s worth it!

Finally tried Boon Tong Kee Kway Chap which comes with a Michelin Recommendation. Food lived up to the hype, duck was tender and had a good amount of fat and skin on it. Portion size was also generous and I was left feeling full and satisfied. Will be back!


When we visited on a Monday evening, the other stall with a really long queue was the Boon Tong Kee Kway Chap stall! Do be prepared to queue at least 20 minutes for it, and it may be even longer on weekends.

We ordered the kway chap and it comes with a bowl of rice sheets in a herbal broth. We really liked the broth as the herbal flavour was pretty pronounced and we thought the medicinal taste was interesting since most kway chap serve the noodles in a soy-based broth that is noticeably saltier. This dish is definitely not for you if you don't like herbal soups. Also, don't be deceived by the serving size because even though the bowl looks small, there is a lot of rice noodles in one bowl and it can be really filling!

The braised duck and pig innards are served in a separate side dish and the portion was fairly generous. There was quite a large amount of duck meat and pig intestines too, although we felt that the duck meat could be softer.

You should pair the meat with the chilli sauces provided. There are two chilli sauces: the darker one is sweeter whereas the one that is bright-red is spicier (it is very spicy in fact). Take your pick although we personally prefer the spicier chilli, as it really adds a lot of flavour and it can even help you to mask the taste of the innards to some extent!
