yea its pretty good imo with the 1 for 1 deal its down to 14 bucks, but still a lil expensive :(
HOWEVER, at 28 bucks it is really crazy expensive so maybe pass. this is more of a bar/pub/drinking place rather than a restaurant so yea understandably the prices are high
but yea the creamy sambal pasta and aglio olio are decent.
Top left clockwise:
Smoked duck pizza @ $20++
Calamri @ $10++
Creamy sambal pasta @ $20++
Cheesy nachos @ $15++
We got the two mains (pasta and pizza) using burpple beyond 1 for 1 discount.
What was good:
Creamy sambal pasta was yummy and enjoyable. Comes with bacon (which was what we got) or prawns (at additional $3). The sauce was really quite tasty though it's a bit more creamy with just a hint of spice taste in it. Still considerably quite well balanced.
Cheesy nachos was not bad, though we both wish they would distribute the spread more evenly. It looks like the cheese was haphazardly put on the top layer chips, and the guacamole and sour cream are obviously just scooped out and put on top with no spread at all.
What we didnt like:
The smoked duck pizza looks absolutely sad. The dough felt like they were off the shelf / premade. And the ingredients are unevenly spread, some pieces dont even have any smoked duck at all. And it's just that with onions and the sauce.
The calamari was quite bad, tasted very much like rubber. The tartar sauce was abit heavy. They also served this with ketchup (even though we didnt ask for it) which tasted quite strange.
The atmosphere was overall quite good. Seems like the quality of food might be a matter of luck since we have seen some good reviews out there. Might come back to try the mains which are not on the 1for1 menu.
Food was surprisingly good! Love love love the beef 🍔. The fries were crispy, beef was juicy & it even comes w an egg! Pasta was a lil too spicy but was still good. Pasta had an option of chicken/fish/bacon/prawn+3
We ordered the Hawaiian and the Smoked Duck Pizzas. The smoked duck was great, but my friend commented that the pizza was tough, and upon breaking a slice off, whacked it against the plate and made a loud "Ding Ding Ding" sound. It was quite hard which made it difficult to bite, despite it being a thin crust.
The beef burgers were really great though! Fantastic job.
Food and service was great! The atmosphere of the establishment is so relaxing.
Checked out this place on a eve of a public holiday. Although the place was rowdy with peeps shouting and screaming in a small enclosed area, we decided to give this place a shot as it was given a 4.6 stars review online. Ordered the sambal stingray $22, truffle fries, har jiong gai and carbonara pasta (petite size). Only the carbonara pasta is nice, the rest is pretty much the same of what you can get outside. Ordered 3 drinks and total damage was abt $70+. We ate our food and left cos at one point, you thought you were in some party places where you need to shout to talk to your friends else nothing can be heard. Felt much better after coming out, at least better for my ears. This is definitely not the place to do nice catch up with friends. But if you enjoy having varieties of beer or likes environment that is louder, this is the place for you.
