Good news folks! @jwmarriottsg Beach Road Kitchen is extending their Italian Gourmet Buffet “Buon Appetito” till 15 May!
This is a buffet that you don’t wanna miss out on as you discover the flavours of Italy through their signature Seafood Showcase and Charcoal Grilled Meats, elevated with Italian Favourites Cheese & Antipasti, Freshly-made Pizza & Pasta and Specialty Italian Stews.
I can assure you that everyone is bound to be satisfied at Beach Road Kitchen’s “Buon Appetito” Italian buffet. I was really impressed with the buffet spread, starting with eight antipasti highlighted by Insalata di Capesante (Scallop Ceviche), Carpaccio di Manzo (Beef Carpaccio) and Insalata di Poldo (Octopus Salad), before moving onto a selection of Italian Gourmet highlighted by oven-baked pizzas featuring the Signature Funghi & Formaggio as well as favourite pastas from Risotto Al Nero Di Seppia Polpo (Squid Ink Risotto) and the traditional Pasta Alla Puttanesca from the city of Naples.
Round up the scrumptious Italian feast with a symphony of Specialty Italian Stews from the luscious Zuppa di Pesce (Seafood Stew) to an Italian Mussel Stew and Italian Beef Stew.
For lovers of Italian desserts, Executive Pastry Chef Edina Si showcase a decadent dessert installation that calls for seconds. The dessert list boast sweets including Green Tea Mascarpone Cake, the traditional Strawberry Sicilian Lemon Cake, the indulgent Pistachio Raspberry Gateau, as well as Italian Favourites from Tiramisu to Ricotta Cheese Tart as well as Vanilla Panna Cotta and Pistachio Crème Brulee.
Enjoy 50% off 2nd diner with DBS & POSB credit cards. Available for dine-in on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Check out @jwmarriottsg for more info and reservation.
𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: Tried my best to list down the items as they seem to differ from the menu. It was also the first time at a high tea sess that the servers did not explain what each item was. When asked, she was unsure and needed to check with the chef, twice.
Overall, we prefer the sweets much more than the savoury. See below a peek into what was served.
𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀
✅✅Yuzu Grapefruit Meringue Tart: Love this! but honestly, it tasted more like lemon, I don't taste the yuzu nor the grapefruit. Nailed that meringue texture.
- Olive Basil Chocolate Cake: It is an interesting combination but not something I will order
✅ Pumpkin Gateau de Voyage: great texture, not too sweet
✅✅ Pesto Pine Nut Gateau de voyage
✅✅ Green Tea Peach Jelly: no peach jelly, seems like green tea chocolate? It's not bad.
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀
Soft Serve: Not creamy, kinda icy and tasteless.... didn't finish it.
Overall, if you really want to try, just order one set which will cost you about $35++ each.
