We also ordered a ๐—™๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฒ, which contained Baristart's signature BIEI Jersey Milk. Smooth, creamy and robust, I like it!

The ๐—–๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—บ ๐—ฃ๐˜‚๐—ณ๐—ณ ($4.50) was quite huge, about the size of an adult's palm. The custard cream oozed out seductively when the puff was cut open. While we liked the crispy and fragrant puff, the cream was a tad too sweet. Still, I would recommend this as I haven't tried a cream puff of comparable quality elsewhere.

The ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—œ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ($9.80) with choice of syrup -- strawberry in this case -- is always a crowd pleaser. Shaped like a bear with a scoop of ice-cream cream as its snout, there were tiny pieces of fruit buried under the ice. I felt there was too much ice and too little syrup, and overall this dessert was ok, but it was a hit with the kids.

I have been eyeing on their sandos since the last visit and itโ€™s definitely one of the signatures that Iโ€™d highly recommend. Itโ€™s no ordinary sando; the thick slabs of Hokkaido pork loin cutlet sandwiched between the milky white bread were so juicy and nicely battered. It was as if I was eating a main dish of Tonkatsu like those served at Ma Maison. To cut through the greasiness, there was also a tangy slaw and gherkins served by the side.

What turned out to be the surprise here was the fries as they had extremely crispy batter, remained crispy even after some time. With its light seasoning, they were really addictive. In fact, they were so good that the dining partner mentioned he didnโ€™t mind dropping by again in future just for the fries!

Happy National Day! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Whatโ€™s your favourite local inspired food amongst these treats to celebrate our nationโ€™s 57th birthday?

Only available this August, the coconut pandan gula melaka cream puff by @baristartcoffee_sg is one not to be missed! Made using their signature premium Hokkaido BIEI jersey milk, youโ€™d find the local flavours-inspired custard smooth, light and slightly milky. Featuring a pandan and coconut infused custard, coupled with a Gula Melaka filling, all encased in a uniquely crispy Choux topped with desiccated coconut. The luscious, oozy custard all revealed upon the first cut, exuding hints of earthiness symbolic of ondeh ondeh without being cloyingly sweet. Recommended for sharing.

The UI of their website absolutely sucks, very pointless.

It's got ondeh ondeh flavours, but quite safe really. Otherwise it's like their normal cream puff
