A good cup of flat white! I liked that it wasn’t too sweet or milky, allowing you to appreciate the aroma of the coffee beans. This place uses beans from Proud Mary, a famous speciality coffee roaster in Melbourne and Oregon.
I also liked that they use packaging made from sustainable materials, while supporting young female artists and designers with their projects. Being both environmentally and socially involved is definitely a plus point to their business!
Loved the vibes of the shop - a barber inside and a takeaway coffee/food counter by the doorway. You might just walk right past it thinking it’s just a barber shop without realizing that it serves great coffee and food too! It’s hidden within Hounds of The Baskervilles Barber Shop and have limited seating available.
We visited on a Saturday late morning and it wasn’t too busy, probably waited about 10-15 minutes for our toastie to be served. Staff were friendly.
A toastie packed with flavour - beef pastrami, dijonnaise, roasted bell peppers, Swiss cheese and mozzarella - sandwiched between crispy toasted bread. All toasties come with salted potato chips and a pickle on the side.
I quite enjoyed the toastie, being a fan of mustard, as the taste of Dijon mustard came out quite strong, but went really well with the salty meaty beef pastrami and cheese. Unfortunately the roasted bell peppers were quite overpowered by its accompanying strong tasting ingredients. The potato chips were slightly too salty for my liking.
Overall - pretty good toastie. Wish it was slightly bigger given the price, but still not a bad choice if you’re around the area and are looking for a decent toastie takeaway.

Beside serving some of their specialty coffee, they also have some toasties available for takeaway as well.
Technically a classic tuna melt, but wasn’t sure how it related to the name. The toast itself rather crispy outside but filled with full ingredients including the tuna, parsley, pickled, red onions, tomato, cheddar, mozzarella and monterey jack. They also served together with 2 pieces of pickle and some salted potato chips.
Sometimes I do feel obliged to say yeaaaaah taste is subjective and what I don’t like you may find fab etc etc; but in the case of their White Cold Brew ($7.50) imma stick strongly by my verdict that it was 🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️ Summing up my experience, this tasted like water stained with milk. I could barely taste the coffee or the milk, I’d go as far as to say it was like an ounce of latte topped up with water — that’s how diluted it was. Be my guest and try it for yourself; I’d love to hear if your experience was better, and perhaps giving me an impetus to check it out again.
The white cold brew was quite a let down... the coffee was too diluted and lacked creaminess
The flat white on the other hand was delicious! It was not too bitter nor acidic with a much better flavour than the white cold brew
