This dish alone, if you repeat the order numerous times, will definitely make your $58++ worthwhile as you get a cut of beef grilled to medium rare, some greens and a perfectly poached egg that’s ready for some egg flowing motion.

The clams cooked with scallion and chilli was rather mediocre and probably overshadowed by the excellence of the other dishes such as the coppa & duck toasties. As for the bacon chop and rum spice pineapple,; surprisingly, I actually preferred the grilled pineapple more than the fatty bacon chop.

Ending a meal on a sweet treat is always welcome and here at the brunch, they serve a berries, yogurt & honey crumble, cinnamon crepes with bacon ice cream and the most unique out of the trio, a peanut butter parfait with berries.

Their version is filled with leeks, white cabbage, long beans, mani chye, fried beancurd, cai po and dried shrimps. The vegetables were crunchy and went very well with the fluffy rice!

I don’t get how this is more expensive than their pad krapow. It’s underseasoned and only comes with a few tiny prawns. Slightly disappointing.

The choice of dinner place was between old airport road hawker or this, and eventually decided on this because we can go to old airport road anytime via bike/mrt. But this long phung is so troublesome to get there via public transport! We ordered exactly the same dishes as what we had one year ago. Who loves Vietnamese fried spring rolls as much as me! 🤭 #burpple #burpplesg #longphung
Each bowl comes with a standard 5 pieces, and all were really good except perhaps for the fishball which was quite ordinary. Wish the portion was bigger tho...or maybe an option to upsize would be good. The noodles that came with the set looks average but was surprisingly springy and yummy when mixed with the sweet sauce and chili sauce. $5.
One of my to-go eating spot with my family. This set comprises of a bowl of assorted ytf, mee kia with minced meat tossed with sesame oil and kang kong. Pretty simple meal.
You can also order other sides like fried beancurd in thai sauce, nacho cheese and more. Those can get quite soggy if not eaten immediately but the refreshing cucumbers does help to lighten one’s palate.

Had a hearty lunch at Equilibrium today! I ordered Maiale Orientale, which is a bak chor mee inspired Aglio Olio comprising of minced pork, mushroom, chili and red wine vinegar😬 It’s hard to go wrong when you marry two of my favourite noodle dishes - it’s very tasty and satisfying:)! The vinegar could have been a little stronger to have more semblance to the typical vinegary BCM. The $15.90++ lunch set comes with small bite of the day, petite antipasto, cheese of the day and homemade bread, which is a pretty good deal to me👏🏻 We also ordered Garlic Truffle Fries topped with hand shaved Grana Padano ($16) to share - I love the baked whole garlic cloves that are served together with the aromatic thick cut fries:) Would love to go back to try the other items on the menu, such as the salty egg dirty fries🤩!
Popo & Nana’s Delights at Maxwell Food Centre have different menu for everyday so do check their Facebook page before coming. If you like challenging yourself with spicy food, here you go for their Eurasian Chicken Devil’s Curry. $6
