The chicken was served uncut and without scoop. Asked a staff to cut it up who told me to tear myself with spoon. Yet I could see one staff cut it for another customer. Quite double standard of service.

(S Size - $9.90) Up to 1 pax for S Size. I felt that it was too spicy for me already and barely taste for scallop tbh.
(M Size - $14.90) Up to 2 pax for M Size. We felt that the gravy for white beehoon was slightly wetter and thick texture compared to the last time got slightly dry and less thick texture. They didn't added scallop inside the dish previously and I believed that they enhanced the dish already.
($13.90) My sister felt that the sauce for sambal lala was slightly wetter and thick texture than the last time she tried it out was slightly dry and less thick texture.
($15.80) I felt that the gravy on the tofu was slightly too much and thick texture. But their tofu was well deep fried.
Came with a generous mix of prawns and squid 🦐 While it could have a bit more wok hei, it had a strong seafood flavour and a lot of creamy strings of egg. The bee hoon soaked up the sweetness of the fresh seafood in the thick yet light broth! Don’t forget the spicy and sour chilli too! [7/10]
Each piece is packed with crunchy bits of water chestnuts, prawns and pork. The ratio of ingredients was perfect and the moist juicy chunks were pan-fried to crisp 😋 [8/10]
While it was fried to golden brown, the beancurd had a firmer texture and did not have a strong tofu taste that we were anticipating, which could be due to a higher ratio of flour used. [5.5/10]
Wanted to order their recommended sambal sweet potato leaves but it ran out. Slightly pricey for the portion size, but the asparagus was crisp and the walnuts gave a crunch. [6/10]
Bee Hoon served with flavourful seafood stock that infused with mala sauce, that definitely give a spicy and numb kick to it.

White restaurant boasts some Malaysian vibes, with really delicious food! The white bee hoon ($18 for L) is a wonderful slurpy dish that feels really comforting, with its strong seafood flavour within its broth. The seafood roll ($13.80 for S) has a good umami flavour and pairs extremely well with their belacan chilli! The Signature Chicken Wings ($10.80 for S) is extremely crispy with strong turmeric flavour that is addictive! Definitely will be back again!
The White Restaurant's signature dish is their white seafood beehoon (白米粉) which attracts foodies nationwide to make the long and inconvenient trek up north. I was in fact surprised to learn that J has been there before and loved the dish. They have since opened several outlets islandwide but we decided to drop by as we were in the area.
The beehoon themselves are full of flavours. My recommendation is to squeeze the lime provided over the beehoon as the zesty and citrus notes of the lime will elevate the taste of the beehoon which has soaked in the natural sweetness of the seafood and the smoky wokhei. The dish is also topped with generous portions of prawns, squid and eggs. The broth is undoubtedly the star of the show. It is thick, bold and yet clean. I like that they pack the broth separately when you do a takeaway as it ensures that your beehoon do not become dry and soggy.
My verdict is that this is well worth the trip up north!

We’re still trying to stay home more these days and feed ourselves equally well so finally driving to get ourselves some 白米粉 from the original Sembawang location!! Quite excited for this as our dad is always saying that the beehoon from the original store is still better than the other outlets🤔 - true enough it really is!! Every strand of the beehoon is coated in that thick flavourful gravy, yums!! Portion wise they are really generous, we could totally share a small one between both of us☺️
