Found at the corner of the first floor, surprisingly manned by a bunch of young dudes. Waited about 20min for the food, says alot about their popularity. Food-wise, I liked the sogginess and wokhey of the noodles, and there were substantial squids, pork belly, and eggs as well. Remember to add on the lard! The only thing I was disappointed by was the chilli - was a rather weak punch and I would have preferred more spice and sourness.
a pretty solid hokkien mee (top $5/ bottom $7)!! is on the slightly wetter side, with more beehoon than yellow noodle which i prefer hehe. comes w prawns & PORK BELLY😲 first time seeing it in hokkien mee. beware chilli is spicyyy
Dry version and very thick texture of sauce, but lacks umami
Chili was spicy and pretty decent
The highlight is the squid. If you must come here, add a lot of squid, it's perfectly cooked
Been wanting to try Youfu Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle @youfuhokkienmee at Golden Mile FC for the longest time, and good to know they have an outlet in Woodlands Crescent (yay Northerners)! I think it's safe to say that this is easily one of the top 3 among those we tried thus far. In fact, we ended up ordering a 2nd plate!
This plate of HKM may look a tad plain at first sight, but once you 挖呀挖呀挖, you'll find a heap of prawns, squid slices and pork underneath! The prawns were decently sized and fresh, and the sliced squid wasn't chewy. The HIGHLIGHT is their mix of yellow noodles & thin beehoon - great texture whilst absorbing the sooty wok hei notes & rich seafood flavours from the stock. The sambal hits HARD in the flavour and heat departments, so we recommend mixing it into the noodles to mellow out its spiciness! Also, remember to ask for their crispy and savoury pork lard!
However, we felt that the portion could be more generous for the price point, so if you love the 料 like us, the best way to enjoy this gloopy (but yummy) mess is to order the $5 portion and top up $2 for more ingredients. 🦐🔥

Tried one of the popular Hokkien Mee stalls, YouFu Hokkien Mee, in Golden Mile today😌! Pretty nice and flavourful with Wok Hei in it. Could tell that the noodles and bee hoon soaked up the flavourful broth so it was good👍! We normally prefer the wetter type of Hokkien Mee with more gravy but this version was slightly on the drier side, not what we usually would go for😬. Also added extra egg and was surprised that it was served on the side🍳. We expected it to be mixed into the Hokkien Mee but it wasn't, so we mixed it in ourselves hahaha. Always love more egg which makes it more flavourful and fragrant😋!
I believe this is one of the lesser known hokkien mee stall in Golden Mile Food Centre. This $5 plate is actually pretty decent, with abit of smoky wok hei taste and pretty strong seafood broth flavours. The dish is definitely on a drier side. I would say this is not too bad! The alkaline taste is not too strong as well. Can eat if you are in golden mile food centre! Remember to ask for the crispy pork lard if you like that umami crunch 🤣
