I never thought creamy avo🥑 would work so well in pulut hitam!! This is my go-to here, but I'll get the refreshing avocado sago instead❄️ when the weather's hot and I crave something icy. Fam's fav is durian chendol🔥

Avocado Sago ($8) and Durian Mousse ($7.60). I love their unique variety of desserts as you seldom see Avocado desserts. The Avocado Sago comes with a scoop of ice cream, taro qq and aiyu jelly. The taste blend well tgt and the diff ingredients give diff kind of texture. We also ordered the hot durian mousse which turn out better than expected. The durian was sweet and can see a generous amt of actual durian. Would totally come back for this.

When we first discovered Yat Ka Yan, we were thrilled to find a dessert spot with a chendol that can rival the best, both locally and overseas. Top it with a scoop of durian for the ultimate indulgence. 😋 Another gem? Their chee cheong fun—elevated from the usual sweet sauce-chilli combo to a delicious version topped with cai po and fried shallots. Truly a must-visit!

If you haven’t tried Yat Ka Yan, this is your sign to go! Known for their delicious local desserts and snacks, their chendol is an absolute must-try. The finely shaved ice, paired with chendol jelly, red bean, gula melaka syrup, and a splash of coconut milk, creates the perfect sweet, refreshing combination. Don’t miss out!

Cendol was incredibly good as ever. Esp the cendol itself, it melts in your mouth with intense Kaya flavour

The balls had very good bite, completely different from the normal nonsense you get

Just what I need for the sweltering afternoon weather, Yat Ka Yan’s Avocado Sago ($8) was bangin’ - a nice change from my usual pick which is of course their signature chendol. Looking quite over-the-top, the dessert came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a small heap of shaved ice drenched with smooth avocado puree, accompanied by a rather generous amount of Sago, Taro Pearls/Balls and right at the bottom were silky-soft jelly. The avocado cream was so good - not overly sweet and very refreshing. And I tried my friend’s order of Fresh Mango Sago ($7) which was a classic.
