The minute the truffle aroma fills the room, I knew the dish we’ve ordered is coming. if you love truffle, this is a must have. It’s creamy and really satisfies your truffle addiction. If you want to go all out?? pair it with their truffle fries 😝

@wildbloomssg Rose Apple Pie is quite the looker, but it has quite a bit of improvement to make when it comes to the execution.⠀

Don’t get me wrong, the taste is delicious, but due to the complexity of the multiple layers to create the rose pattern, some of the dough is undercooked and wet. The apples were all beautifully caramelised with a subtly spicy and moderately sweet flavour, and other than the undercooked pastry, it’s a delightful dessert.⠀

I am not quite sure how to cook the pastry in the middle without burning the rest of the pie, but the effort to perfect this dessert will most definitely be worth it.

The chai latte and rose latte was quite sweet, which was exactly what I wanted. Not that inspiring, though.

As for the korean chicken burger which I read many reviews on, I didn't really like the sauce, which was quite one-dimensional -- tasted kind of like thai chili sauce. The chicken was quite crispy though.

This floral-themed cafe in the heartlands received many raving reviews but I personally did not really enjoy the ambience. It's located in a very tiny second level of a HDB shop space and one of the walls is a floor-to-ceiling length window with blue and purple cellophane. This might sound pretty but the result is an echo-filled small space with not much ventilation and lighting that isn't very conducive for photos.

This may just be me, but I felt that the decor here was a bit 'off' as well. The flower-wall was just a bit too small, the dried flowers looked a bit scraggly and dusty, the tables clearly had a stick-on marble pattern on it, and the walls were a bit dirty with many scratch marks on them. You'll have to see it in real life to get a sense of what I mean -- and I still recommend a trip there and see the place for yourself.

"Okay?? Enough snooty comments about the decor! What about the food?" I hear you cry. Alright, alright. The laksa pasta was honestly fantastic. Perfectly creamy and spicy, with a thick sauce that had me scraping up every last drop with my fries.

8/10 for the pasta

@wildbloomssg has a fabulously felicitous fried fish fillet burger going for $13.90 nett, and it’s quite easily one of the better fish burgers round town. It don’t look like much, but this is a classic case of the insides counting for more than outward appearances.⠀

I’ve never understood the whole charcoal burger bun thing, and it’s really just a fluffy, satisfyingly carb loaded bun that’s coloured black. It’s the fish fillet that makes this burger so extremely enjoyable. The chunky fish is encased in a light, crispy batter, and both batter & fillet are scintillatingly seasoned. There’s a lot of hate out there for American cheese, which is essentially processed Kraft cheese. However, it is the perfect fit for a fantastic fried fish fillet such as this one mounted between these buns.⠀

I’m not a fan of the decidedly un-aesthetic shredded lettuce, which could be replaced by so many other more appealing vegetables, or perhaps by a colourful coleslaw. Still, this is most certainly one of the more outstanding fish burgers. No doubt about it.
